The snow part was awesome, but the rest wasn't really anything new or inspirational.
The filming wasn't bad, maybe try to tempt some pro level riders for the next movie.
you guys must be joking right? that video has it all, DJ/FR/DH and some gnarly jumps&drops! I even remember seeing some past PODs in this video aswell.
everyone here can make a better movie and ride twice as good as those guys did, right? geez ...
The DH was totaly awesome!!! A little tired of watching DJ though. Its impressive because I know I cant to any of it but its soo bleedin boring. Maybe I just love DH too much... Great video though. Gets my three thumbs up... Yes Three!
actually you're right, there's a lot of space for progress. Don't worry we'll work on it but we only spend a few days at these parks in South France and we never hit such huge staff before, so it was quite scarry and we didn't want to kill ourself xD.
I thought it was a sweet video! I hate to be the one to ask, but on the downhill section after the park section at around eleven minutes - what is the song??
@feds: That's Peyner and Trets in Southfrance. @BenLovesIdaho: It's Gavin de Graw: Medicate the Kids @OllyJ: That's the Mountain Style Area in Chatel, Portes du Soleil, France close to the Swiss Boarder
you swiss are true gentleman. Thanks for the info, and the vid. Don't listen to these kids about what needs to be changed this and that. Nothing will ever be good enough. Everthing has to be an NWD quality vid in their eyes. IMO, this vid was more enjoyable than any of the NWD's after the 3rd one. Rock on guys!
You should link to the file somewhere. I'd love to add this to the collection of killer vids I have.
Those snow hucks look biiiig! Love to try out snow riding!
Awesome Chatel (?) section too.
On the other hand, the braking in the berms is really not a good thing. I get that you want the roost for effect, but thats exactly how berms get ruined. Not clever.
seconded, Its something you can relate to, not that makes you go, "holy shit, that was massive, I could never do stuff like that!" its big, but possible for all us mere mortals!
dude your ski slopes must be aweseom people if they allow that..here you would be arrested before you got the bike on the snow, that was sick, and the dudes with reb/black stripe jersey..looked fun
The snow session looked a good laugh. Reminded me of the Mega. It's good to see people are not scared of making long films and posting them up on here now. Ok it may not be on par with the likes of the anthill productions with all the top riders but, It's local riders capturing what everyone loves abut the sport. Having fun. good effort guys and well done Philip.
yes we're no pro riders, but we are still quite happy with it .
First Movie, made with only one camera, more or less only teamriders, 3 of the spots were shaped built by our crew, low budget movie, and if you look closely you'll remark, that the same persons who were riding DJ,FR,DH, also filmed and edited the movie!
Hey bont, I enjoyed your film, Im sorta at the same level of filming and rider availability and would like to make a film too. what did u guys have to do to get sponsors? like santa cruz and stuff?
write proposals, send pictures and good videos, or even better: get in personal contact with the persons behind the brand. actually they are "only" supporter of our team, they give us their products cheaper, but that's it for the moment. But actually sponsors are interested in Videos like that, eventhough they don't pay much for it (look at the views of the video after 3 days and everyone of them has seen the brands, it's like a free commercial for the brands)
this is a great movie! it doesnt have pro riders (as far as i know), and they guys are insanly good at riding. it makes it super easy to relate to, and enjoy. it goes to show, you can make a great video even if your not the best rider in the world. cheers guys!
So it's not pro-riding quality... still good editing, and props to them for even trying. they should be proud (and they're really not bad riders either). I dug the snow stuff especially though, some pretty big hucks in there... great vid.
Some super sick spots that made that vid. I would complain about the lack of trickage on the DJ' but the spots were soooooo awesome that ill let that fly!
That is actually Crans-Montana (www.mycma.ch), a place in Switzerland, about an hour from portes du soleil, at 12:15 you see Monte Tamaro (www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1MG_82Vdm4&feature=player_embedded!), also in Switzerland in a region called Ticino, but at 13:30 there are a few shots from morgins (Portes du Soleil)
We'll do it on a server by the end of the week so you can download it in even better quality . I'll give you the link as soon as it's available. greets
For windows internet explorer. Play the video, let it load completely, when it's done, go to tools > under browsing history click settings > click view files, it'll show you ALL the data that is downloaded in order for sites to be viewed on your computer. Organize the files (if it isn't already) to most recently accessed, the video should be on top.
On a mac go to window then activity then find the one file that is in mb format and double click it. This saves the flv format. Get perian so you can watch flv on QuickTime. Enjoi
