Maxime Peythieu is a French mountain bike rider from the Team MIA Santa Cruz. He's very polyvalent, riding dirtjumps, racing enduro and freeriding. We've wanted to make a video project for a long time and we finally did it. We wanted to shoot only freeride sections throughout the French Alps, around Serre Chevalier, like the steep rock garden of Col de l'Izoard or his home trail, Serlin, near Grenoble with many jumps into the forest. Max also invited his mate Aurélien Demailly to join him on the Serre Chevalier bike park to share a beautifull summer session!

freeride to biking should be as off-piste is to ski/snowboarding, and the only time these guys spend off groomed trails is flying straight down a scree slope?

no discredit to the guys riding, they are far better on a bike than i am, just a shame to see freeride turning into bikepark riding. i guess it makes it all the more refreshing to see guys like KC Dean getting back to the spirit of freeride in films like this www.pinkbike.com/news/mtb-heroes-season-2-trailer-premiere-2015.html

 I want to ride my bike now, but it's dark and I can't yet afford good lights. Awesome riding style, looks so relaxed and pinpoint accurate, very fun to watch!

 Nah you were right, cause enduro is basically just 5 timed DH runs in one day, with no lift to take ya back up. (takes cover)

 The freeride part was at the very end all the rest was bikepark and trail riding. Freeriding=hors piste

 I have the same definition, and most of the video is on a track, that's why I said it's not really a freeride video, despite of is title. ...and it's a nice Video, there is no doubt.

 its because it was filmed in a high frame rate, and then played back at normal speed. Not sped up, just no motion blur like everybody is used to seeing.

 Interesting fork choice, I would have chosen the HLR metric from x fusion. His fork is like equivalent to a pike. The metric is like a lyric or a 36.
