Matt Walker coming in like a stealth bomber. Winning on such a sketchy, varied track is a big sign of what could come.

Matt Walker could win all the races I’m still not contemplating a Saracen.

@johnny2shoes: this makes me wonder how well tied sales are to world cup success. none of these brands are selling a ton of dh bikes and at least here in the states, it feels like most people are on dh bikes for jump laps, so I would think the freeride disciplines have a bigger impact in sales while dh racing still sees the bigger team budgets.

@adrennan: its not just DH bikes they are selling by winning DH races. You cant move for Santa Cruzes around these parts. Commencals are quite popular, and I see a tonne of them in the french alps. Metas and Hightowers must outsell Supremes and V10s 100:1.

@AyJayDoubleyou: I am well aware it isn't just about dh bike sales, I was more broadly interested in overall sales and how it ties to world cup success vs freeride success.

I like that Gwin practically cut his number in half. It'd be great to see him challenge the top dogs again!

Bruni and Seagrave overall standings prove that qualifications DO make a difference with only 1 race on the season.

It's Gwin, he won't just be an underdog challenging the top dogs if he makes a comeback it'll be a full Gwin domination. It'd be awesome to see him get atleast a World Champs though.

I love that Amaury and Cami are runnin away in the elites, yet the juniors overall race is razor thin. Actually begging for more juniors coverage from the media people at this point. Particularly Gracey and Phoebe. Give em somethin, guys.

Id argue that the Elite men are very much the same right now. There are a lot of guys that could win.

Crazy to think there was a chance Canada could win the Junior Men, Junior Women and Pro Men at anytime now

it will take a little alignment of the stars, but juniors are well positioned and Finn just needs some solid races and a little luck to make it happen!

Commencal 1, 2 and 6 for overall team standings. Between the track record and the price, no wonder it's the privateer's choice

PB Racing 4th in women's juniors and not caring...

 yeah, Aimi doing super well

I'm trying to figure out the strategy of Commencal having 4+ different teams.
  • 4 0
Doubt there's a strategy, just a bike company that actually likes and supports bike racing. What a shocker! Something sadly lacking in today's influencer/social media driven world.
