Does anybody actually know how big these jumps are. The guy in the vid said 20 meters which is about 65 feet and the canyon gap is 72 feet with a steeper looser run in. They still look massive though.
Yeah, for sure.
The sick edits at the end of each round of the Fest series are better to watch than a lot of the live feeds, especially if the competition is put on hold or cancelled due to weather etc.
It's rare to see fear in his eyes, but this might have been one of those times. Understandable, as those are massive jumps. Did I say jumps? I meant to say launches.
This is so amazing that I genuinely cant think of an interesting comment...
Anyway, anyone know why the huckfest official highlights didn't make it onto the pinkbike homepage? Link's here if you haven't seen it... vimeo.com/102120145 So awesome but I can't wait to see what they make after loosefest :o
FMB and Fest Series shouldn't be compared, admittedly the Fest Series is more impressive at first due to size of the jumps but most of the tricks on the FMB World Tour would never even be considered doing in the Fest Series, plus City 8 is the most recent FMB Event and it's absolutely dreadful, the course was terrible and riders aren't fully putting out (probably because of Crankworx Whistler), but nevertheless, the two shouldn't be compared, we should just enjoy them both - if you don't like one, just don't watch it.
City 8 was the most boring event to watch ever. Tiny jumps , pedal between every jump, usual no flow or speed course & tricks that were done on a bmx 15 years ago. Time to move on guys!
Disagree, reno-be. I thought the portions that I watched were quite entertaining. Those guys do tricks I'd never dream of. In fact, the jumps are big enough that I don't think I'd even hit them, and I'll wager that I'm not alone in this.
I know, it's different tastes of riding, I'd much rather watch Lacondeguy send a clean straight flip or superman on a 25m long double at full speed than some sketchy flip whip 360 cash roll wathever by some washed up foam pit jock over a 12m wood kick jump

Nico, Andreu and Jef cleared the whole line today. No big tricks yet on the 23 and 25 meter jumps.
The airtime is insane! Maybe even more insane is the speed they reach after jump 2 . Almost all riders cleared jump 1 and 2 by the way.

Would someone PLEASE video these events and put'em up dammit!!!
This is similar to what you have in surfing. There's the pro tour and then the big-wave events. It seems to work just fine for them, so why not mtb?
just f*cking massive to see in real life
On a side note, stoked to Lluis Lacondeguy there to, hopefully he'll be riding as well and bringing his super extended tricks back to mtb
Kinda like that?
