We are back at the mecca for big air that is the Darkfest farm in Stellenbosch South Africa! The build begins for the world's biggest jumps and craziest riders, who in a months time will be unleashing their bikes on the famous course, including the 110ft jump Tom Isted landed his world record backflip on in 2023. What will go down this year? Only time will tell, but for now we walk round with Theo Erlangsen, South Africa downhill champion and darkfest rider to see the damage the winter rain has done and see what work is needed! What are you guys looking forward to seeing at Darkfest 2024?!

Sam and the crew are back for DarkFest in 2024! This year will be radder than ever with the trails crew, Justin and Duran rebuilding and perfecting the world's gnarliest big air course. After the craziness of the world record 120ft backflip last year, we can’t wait to see what happens on the biggest jump ever seen in a competition! Sam will be joined by the a classic lineup of riders, but also some new faces who are eager to cut their teeth on the course, including new boys and girls so keep an eye out for the full riders list soon, and stay up to date on the build on Sam's YouTube channel and the Darkest Instagram. Can't wait!—Darkfest
Maybe I missed the joke (i'm on a work call and haven't had my coffee), but I'm pretty sure Darkfest hasn't been part of the Fest series for a few years now.
But I'm always excited about this event and I love following along with the build series videos.
@jojotherider1977: fest series dropped this event because the athletes were making their own videos. Darkfest then went on to build the biggest jump ever hit. Making it sicker than any of the actual feet series events. Ironically, because the darkfest athletes are enabled to make their own videos it's also covered considerably more than the actual feet series events.
@therealnobody: Fest was all about the community, they were built where the people lived. Building an event miles around the world is not really the same. Just remember than Sam reynolds and his mates do nothing for there local communities. They don't even decency to change the name. The irony is Nico vink built this course...
@holdandhope: Sam Reynolds and has mates (Olly Wilkins, Fairclough etc) do nothing for their local communities?! That's some primo koolaid you're sipping on there kid Maybe you should actually come down to Surrey and talk that shit to their faces.
big fan a darkfest. really like the model and the attitude of the crew that makes it happen. and like that it happens during off season of most northern hemisphere events.

Where speed and style meets DarkFest.
Or are we just getting silly now?
