Selected by Ian Hylands - We haven't had a good street MTB POD in a bit, and this one really jumped out at me. I really like the lines of the ditch, and there's a lot of texture in it as well with the gravel. Subtle colors, not all bright and rich and flash lit, but that's okay, sometimes life looks better that way and I like how this shot looks...
Sick riding, think thhe photo could benefit from a bit more light. Though its a dull day so I guess that can't be improved without flashes and that isn't your style..
I like it without a flash! Goes well with the grey in the ditch and the overcast day... if there was a flash, I don't think it would mesh well. Great shot!
It's a street spot, it's not dirt jumping, it's not trail riding, it's on concrete but it's not a skatepark, and he's riding a hardtail. Just because it doesn't involve an actual street and he's not grinding something doesn't mean it's not street riding. But you're also absolutely right in that it's not street to you, and you're entitled to that...
ah yes... my comment on sam's news page thing is confirmed!
I hoped you had been following him around with a camera when he was making that movie..
great shot as always
that's true... well, from what i know, we were extremely lucky that the workers cleaned it up a day before we went there... as you can see here, they have left stones inside [to stop from riding?!], but for real it is not a big obstacle
I am so unbelievably jealous of anyone that has a giant ditch like this that they can ride in. One more reason to hate Florida. Anyways, nice picture! POD fo shizzle.
Excuse me, wait... "one more reason I hate Florida." It's a drainage ditch, for when it rains all the f*cking time. RAIN, as in the wet stuff that makes riding miserable and cold- that's the stuff that you don't get very often, and seem to be complaining about?
Siradam, I'd stick with Milton. Florida is one of the flattest places I've ever been. Plus it's pretty sandy. Not one of North America's mountain bike hot spots. Unless you are judging based on temperature in the summer, in which case the humidity/temp combo probably puts it in the running. Yeah, I'd rather wait for a dry day in Scotland (or England, in your case and the case of the photo) than have to live with the best that Florida could offer on a daily basis. Just sayin'...
yeah, we have met there for a session, but i have been shooting photos as usual. sam has got his own camera and basically his edits are fully selfmade, just handheld filmed by friends...
If you could do all of us a favor and report him it would be much appreciated, he goes around chirping tons of Canadians just because he lost his balls in a terrible scooter accident.
Says the American calling another American a dumb ass for hating on Canadians.. Yet you just did.. Thus proving yourself wrong, way to go! That kid hates on any Canadian related thing on this site and makes you guys look bad.. Smoooth
