Santa, Rudolph, and the gang look forward to days off too! Hold on for deer life as they kick off vacation with a bike ride on "A Christmas Trail".

Thanks Santa (Brian Lopes), and our Reindeer (Richie Schley, Barry Nobles, Nik Nestoroff, and Justin Fierro).

They should have dressed Brian Lopes as the grinch instead of Santa Claus

Lmao, 1st thought was similar. Light hearted videos and lopes don’t mix, shoulda took the chance to go grinch and show he could laugh at himself. I get it though, who wants a preflight champagne shower.

Lopes is so Lopes that he thread the needle passed his own reindeer.

@CarlMega: yeah I’m suprised he didn’t try and punch his reindeer

Year round riding with irrigation! Place rocks and will only get better

are they taking business away from snow summit? i would imagine you'd see the same folks at both resorts considering how close they are to each other.

@cuban-b: yes, many of us(at least 10) bought Skypark annual(calender year) passes rather than summit..sp is more suited for bikes other than dh(no lifts); skypark is year round; easier drive than ss.

Skypark is great. Real contrast to summit where braking bumps are ever present-- the trail crew at skypark has been out there watering, fixing lips, etc, literally every of the ~8 times i've gone. Not only that, but they're constantly adding features and making the trails more fun. Lots of wood going up lately. Worth every penny for the season pass!

Some pretty sick special effects in this edit. I like the part where he squeezed his Guide brake levers and it actually looked like he slowed down. How did they do that? Go santa!

Same way I do it, I imagine: don't contaminate the pads! Now, if you're saying the ability to actually squeeze the brake in Southern Califirnia sunshine, that is another matter entirely.

I have a confession: Guide RS came with my new bike. I read a lot of bad press with reliability and was on the verge just selling them going a different brand. But to be honest I love them. They have a lot more modulation, easy to bleed, and better brake lever feel then Formula and Zee's that have had tried. Have not had sticky brake levers yet!

@femto505: it takes about a season or so of hard riding and one blistering hot day in direct sunlight to make them sticky and then it just begins getting worse. It has happened to all 4 of my Guides. I am on 2nd rebuilds of my RS's that are 2 yrs old.

@Rubberelli: this was a warranty issue. SRAM will replace the internals and/or handles of defective brakes.
  • 2 0
@SeanC1: yeah, they warrantied them. Unfortunately, they don't offer loaner brakes for the couple weeks they have them.

Best part is when he made it through the doorway without clipping his bars

Did Santa get mad at a man-child and punch him this year?

Who is this Lopes person? And Richie isn't he Tippie's little brother or something?
  • 7 0
 Santa sleighed it.
