@vinay: this is what seperates the elite athletes, the Messi's, Ronaldo's of the world. Super hero like because they have the right genetics and they were nurtured both physically and mentally from day one.

@dughead123: its not a cisgender female athlete, you are confusing biology with identity. Not going to bother debating, wasting my time with a very clear SJW.

@vinay: Thanks for the scenarios, I agree this is quite an exception to the norm. Scenario 1/2 seem the most viable to me should Kate start to win races. Whilst its unlikely that this will ever happen (she was 4 seconds off) if it happens I dont think the girls will stay quiet tbh. In a way this would be the best way to bring this all to a conclusion. We need to stop pandering to feelings, look at the scientific facts, not opinions, right or left. Just focus.

@vinay 'People that know what they need to live up to' Yes women need to realize that should a transgender woman enter their category (having 20+ years of male development) that they should just give up, chances of winning are slim at best. Why is that? Because its likely physically impossible for them to compete. The truth is in the male / female timings listed on this topic....

@dughead123: Question: If you had a daughter who had trained her entire life to become the best in her sports category and then have a male (transgender) of similar age having transitioned 1 year prior beat her to top spot how would you feel? Would it be fair in your eyes? If the answer is yes its fair you are completely delusional and are being brain washed. Who are you listening/reading to on this topic?

@Will-narayan: Constructs built by humans and human nature, its not just a coincidence that we like to compete and win in most things we do. Take a look at socialism and how successful that has been lol.

@MonkeyBadgerBoy: I wasnt referring to the cheating aspect, I was referring to the morality. Hadn't seen the prior comments on cheating as you rightly state its within the rules no matter how immoral they may be.

@MonkeyBadgerBoy: You are missing the point, people are challenging the rules because the rules do not consider basic biological differences between males and females. This is not about Weatherly, its about IOC/UCI allowing fully developed males to compete against females (regardless of treatments). For the very few on here it has nothing to do with morals and by the way you could easily say its immoral for a fully developed male to compete within womens sport (regardless of treatments). Is it truly fair/moral? etc Caveat, this is nothing personal against any transgender, male, female etc. Really trying to keep it to the facts.
