Pinkbike Poll: Who are the Unofficial Red Bull Rampage Pinkbike's Choice Winners?
The complete nonsense of judging is, for me, the main reason that Hardline is now the more entertaining viewing experience than Rampage. And even then, I still prefer the WC DH racing as the most entertaining/valid MTB spectacle. It's against the clock....no judges!

Gracey Hemstreet Fractured Hand in Leogang Qualification Crash
While Greig and Gracie and Lucas are recovering, it would be good (for Norco and the sport) if the team got in a couple of the top privateers to give them some fully supported races.....

Video: Danny MacAskill & Steve Peat Ride the Trotternish Ridge in Isle of Skye
I can't think of many videos that have so successfully captured the sheer fun of riding an MTB. Absolutely loved that, and beautifully filmed too. Slainte mhath !

Video: The Final Chapter - Pinkbike Racing S2E5
Pinkbike Racing has been (by a long way) the most enjoyable thing that Pinkbike has produced. Thank you, and massive respect to all involved.
Really looking forward to seeing your next project(s) Ben (and, whatever you do I hope that will involve more World Cup trackside analysis).

Thanks Miranda, a great perspective on Finale and particularly enjoyed the interviews with the people behind the trails.

Video: XCC & XC Highlights from the Glentress XC World Champs 2023
I started watching the races on the BBC broadcast but thought the commentary (as used in these highlights here) was unbearable - and, switched to watching on GCN+. I thought that the GCN team - Ric McLaughlin and Ollie Beckinsale - did a really good job. I think the GCN commentary is getting better after a shaky start to the mtb season.....but I'd like to hear Ollie B doing more of the xc World Cups.

Pidcock, Discovery, & Other Things We Learned from the Nove Mesto XC World Cup 2023
I agree that, visually, the race coverage was pretty good.
But everything else was a real disappointment. The commentating team were definitely not gelling - although they may improve with time/practice. Bart and Ric kept talking over one another or simply repeating what the other had just said. And Ric M sounds like someone doing a (bad) impression of a sports commentator - lots of daft and non-sensical cliches rather than simply providing insightful comment on the race.
But what was absolutely intolerable was the anchor - Kate Mason (?). Completely devoid of understanding or knowledge of the sport, talking vacuous pish which just underlined how false her enthusiasm was. When she was interviewing Bart at the end of the women's race he had an absolutely perfect 'WTF' expression at some of the things she was asking or saying. 'The race was so magnetic'.....what does that mean FFS......!??
There must be someone from within the sport that they can find to host the pre and post race stuff.

Pinkbike Poll: Would You Pay to Watch World Cup DH Racing?
It is not possible to give a reasonable answer to any of these questions until we know something about what the format and coverage is going to be.
