 Who knew it would only one of the biggest MTB events of the year to make Metallica entertaining. I think the video summed up the feelings of watching it perfectly.

 I'm a massive Semenuk fan and I'm still freaking out about his run (guilty), but Soderstrom was on his way to excellence there! Flip whip out of him, triple whip and opposite 360, I would have loved to see the score! This video made you feel for him, heal up buddy! You deserve another win soon!

 Watching it live, you could definitely see the that Semenuk was getting concerned specially after that triple whip. i was so stoked when Soderstrom came into the last hit, and when he went down i basically felt like crying. haha he had it in the bag no questions asked. im truly glad that Semenuk set the bar so high though, cause Martin shredded that last run. he was robbed again.

 Both runs were awesome. I think Soderstrom should have taken it if he didn't crash cause he really went all out on that run.

What I don't understand is Semenuk crashed on his first run pretty much in the same spot and he got a score... why didn't they give a score for Soderstrom?

 Just pause at 6:39-6:41 if you want to see his broken leg, it looks pretty tweaked, his foot is touching his other leg and you can see the bend...hope he gets well soon

 Great job trail designers and builders, great job riders, great job fans (didn't really come across in the broadcast, but this was probably the most excited crowd I have seen at crankworx). So good to see Semenuk, Soderstrum, Pilgrim 1,2,3 - those 3 guys have been the top 3 riders for the past few years in my mind, and I love seeing the best fighting it out for the top spot. Excellent job all round, I really enjoyed it (except for the stupid commercials, hearing "we'll be right back" when you're at the event is so freakin annoying")

 Awesome video PB! Watched it a couple of times and all I can say is, Brandon Semenuk is clearly the winner here. It was a clean run, but the 96 score is too high. Maybe a 94 would be realistic. Too bad for Soderstrom, he tried his best -- pushed his way over the limit and now he broke his leg. That triple whip was insane though. I hope he heals up fast. Redbull Joyride 2013 was epic!

 Deja vü for soderstrom, that last feature must be cursed for him, didn't he crash on a 360 double whip attempt last year as well? Damn I wish he landed it, but you could tell semenuk was on his way to the winning run after seeing him after his first run crash. Massive props to all the riders this year!

 Was the course a little toned down this year compared to the last few years? It seemed a little less gnarly this year watching it on video. Seemed like the biggest features weren't quite as big as years passed. Was this actually the case? And if so was it done on purpose so the riders could focus more on throwing their best tricks?

 This is such a wicked edit. From the porn star dirty sounding, 'AwwwwYeahhhh' at the beginning, to the Metallica starting up. Then non-stop crashes for the first bit, and then the crazy runs of Semenuk, Martin, and the others. Had to put it back to the start before seeing Martin's run, light a J, and watch that crazy shite again. Awesome to see Semenuk finally put a complete run together. But.... Soderstrom's run would have been the most amazing run ever put together in Whistler. Ever. So rough to watch him crash that hard after such an amazing run. Triple-whips FTW!!!
