One explanation might the short travel on the Trek bikes which is less forgiving of impacts than something with more suspension (which most team use). They need to work it out though as it clearly ruined Evie's race.

Pidcock, Discovery, & Other Things We Learned from the Nove Mesto XC World Cup 2023
Agreed - the coverage (race and other general media) exceeded expectations and those are great improvement suggestions. I think Bart Brentjens is meant to bring the tech (equipment) and technical knowledge but has continued to just shout out rider names over his co-commentator.....

I would agree, but am also not really digging the latest RockShox graphics....

The EWS "coverage" once Discovery/GMBN took over was the same. 5 seconds of (the same!) elevator music accompanying each disjointed out-of-context "action" sequence. I really hope this improves.

@muggers: Damn, was hovering over the 'buy' button on those based on reviews but have always thought that the sleeve looked a bit fragile. The search continues......

10 Things I Loved in 2022: Henry Quinney
@jayacheess: Mechanics get paid for the "extra" time and effort required, which is how they afford to live. The whole internal headset thing is undoubtedly a product of shops (the bike brand's buyers - not the end consumer) making bikes more complex machines to ensure more required trips to said shop. Henry is also a World Cup Downhill mechanic....... how is he not a 'real mechanic'?
