doesnt that mean that a long travel enduro bike wouldnt be what you need either? Im on the east coast too, and im finding if i dont need DH casing tires ( I dont) then i dont need 180mm of travel either. (i dont). but if i did need big travel, it would make sense for it to come with appropriate tires, right?

First Ride: The 2025 Specialized Stumpjumper Has a New Dual Chamber Air Shock
Seems like theres a big hole in Spec's lineup now, namely the normal regular trailbike. The chisel/epic are the xc/downcountry bikes and this replaces the stumpy evo. Im guessing either theyll continue selling the previous stumpy, or there will be another bike coming out to fill the void.

Im of the opinion that i want more tire, especially rear tire, on a hardtail than a fs bike. Theres no suspension to keep the tire tracking and stuck to the ground. I spin out the rear tire on a hardtail way more often. So a little extra knob on the tire, and a little extra stickiness really helps
