Trek Slash

$4000 USD
Trek Slash I built in 2019 thinking I was going to race it...Covid hit and its sat on my wall gathering dust. Now baby is on the way and its time to move it along to someone who can actually use it. I built it to be reliable and durable with Enduro racing in mind so the spec reflects that. SPECS: Factory 36 Grip2 160- it can be bumped to 170 easily. DHX2 currently set up with a 650lb spring and a custom proto valve from Fox-feels like buttery bottomless goodness. Brakes are SRAM Code RSC- metal pads- tons of stopping power and has amazing modulation- favorite brake set. Carbon frame/bars- wheels I went with Bontrager Line Elite- a few years ago you might remember a Trek racer running one that was super badly beat up and it finished the race- very strong reliable wheelset. Drivetrain is GX- reliable and cheaper to replace if you smash a derailleur. Maxxis Minion DHF up front and Aggressor rear 29X2.5- super great tire combo that shreds in almost all conditions imaginable. Tubeless-fresh sealant before sale. Dropper is currently a 150 Bontrager Line Elite Extra frame protection in key areas like the seatstays- downtube-seatube-toptube to protect against rock strikes/shuttling/wear and tear. Pedals are not included. Its a fast sled for sure- great for someone looking for a reliable well built machine to start racing on or just shred with. I know Knock Block has gotten some hate on Pinkbike- but honestly I never ran into a single time where it limited my steering- even on tight UP Michigan tech. Point and shoot- she'll see you through. Let me know any questions you have- Paypal is preferred. Open to offers so if you're interested let me know what you think its worth- starting at $4,300.

Letter from the Editor: Pinkbike’s Next Chapter with Outside
@brianpark: yet...until its potential monetization value gets dropped into a slide deck for the VPs who now call the shots. You've handed over the keys to the castle- it isn't you fault- but Radek is obviously 100% checked out at this point.

Pinkbike founders saw an opportunity to cash out and took it. All the "fluff" about other reasons is just simple marketing BS- it was a move for profit to pad out the retirement accounts of the guys on top. Just shows what they were about all along.
