We love to develop new bikes, we love to explain new technologies and we love to explore new limits. Today we invite you to join the new ROTWILD R.X2 all mountain bike on an epic ride! Instead of just talking.
Wow. Cool vid. Epic location and mtns! Cool to see Manfreds undisguisable old school BMX style in this all mtn vid. I was just shredding pow on Whistler with Schley and Hans Rey and his wife Carmen when I saw this bike in Richies garage...he said it was his favorite bike of all time. I've known him since Gr. 6 and that's a lotta bikes, at a million years old. ha ha
A killer week to be shredding here in Whis too! U should rip down here to Squampton for some Diamondhead snow shuttles Tippie! Congrats on the Hall of Fame by the way, well deserved!
its an FSR just like specialized, norco, ellsworth, older devincis, etc. nothing awesome about the bike the video is breathtaking! now i gotta meet my friends for some chicken wings and a couple of kokanee scooners! hehehe.
Looks like a Specialized/Ellsworth/ trek combo, nothing too new, sure it rides nice. Their DH bike looks like a total rip off of a Commencal C.G. though. Nice vid.
That looks nothing like a remedy, unless your thinking that every bike that has its shock mounted vertically in that fashion looks like a trek, which a lot of people on here seem to think so! Trek weren't the first people...
I ride a Remedy, Fuel EX 7, and Session 88 and it looks reeally similar. Ik the guy on top of me has a good point, but as far as I can see the only real difference is that this bike doesn't have the Full Floater that Trek uses, so the shock isn't physically mounted to any part on the front triangle. They even have the same uneven chainstays that Trek uses. I miss seeing new suspension designs, the last interesting one is the Lapierre (idk how to spell that) DH bikes. people just seem to be being less creative with their work lately.
Apart from the tubing being completely different and imo, much uglier, there are many ways this differs from a Trek! Plus you do know that there are more companies than Trek that can use similar features (chainstay heights in this case) and that not every bike has to be compared to a Trek, its really annoying me how everyone does that now. Trek are not even the best bikes out there!
omg..... theres like 1000 bikes or more that have had this basic lay out, if you want to say that it looks like a trek because of the asymmetrical chainstays then you could just say that trek copied the giant AC platform, and that giant copied any kona or turner in the early 90's until recently. there are only so many ways to lay out a bike, jesus, you "it look like this bike" people need to stfu, it happens when almost any new bike is released save most GT's and the new Lapierre.... as for suspension designs, if you want a new one, giver. if you understood the complexity of coming up with a new design, how long it takes and how much money it costs its quite prohibitive to just start churning out suspension designs when you have a sea of stuff that works great
HORST LINK... while looks may resemble Trek, particularly the two-tone paint and shock placement, the pivot placement is more like a Specialized. Anyhow nice Vid
whats wrong with people? its a friggin horstlink for craps sake, its got nothin to do with a trek except that it sorta maybe vaguley resembles it! its a specialised thing!
bomberdave is right! I would add though that even though all these new bikes coming out may look similar, as in the basic layout, a lot of them actually all are completely different suspension platform, so we are getting new suspension designs, its just they all look share the same layout! Look at mx bikes, every single on you can buy has their shock mounted at about the same angle into the frame because its the most efficient and strongest, maybe this is telling us something....
