Hardtail Roundup: 17 Compelling & Progressive Options
I think part of what's so rad about hardtails is that even the beefiest, burliest hardtail will still be a relatively efficient tool to cover a lot of mileage, simply by nature of it being, well, a hardtail.

Staff Ride: Dario's Dumb Little Hardtail
This bike reminds me a lot of my semi-custom Kruch Gnartail, which has become my favourite bike I've ever owned. We even went with pretty similar spec choices in some areas.
I'm rocking the same ~63.5° and ~75° angles, with a 480mm reach and 432mm chainstays, and a BB height that I specifically requested as "stupidly low". I don't know off the top of my head what it weighs, but with a steel frame as opposed to ti, mostly alloy parts, and DH tires with inserts, I'm guessing somewhere around 33-34lbs.

Pinkbike Poll: What's Your Ideal Two Bike Quiver?
Dirt jumper and 140-forked hardtail for me. DJ for the obvious, and hardtail for everything else, from gravel, to trail riding, to XC racing, to shuttle days.

Interview: Downhill Tire Tech with Maxxis
Started running Butcher Grid Gravity T9s last year, front and rear, and can honestly say I prefer them to Maxxis. Casing feels similar to Double Down, and I find the tread wears much more evenly over the life of the tire, whereas Maxxis side knobs start to get undercut and squirmy-feeling when you still have plenty of usable centre tread left.
