10 Things I Loved in 2022: Henry Quinney
@groghunter: This is my biggest issue with it. I use a Oneup handlebars and stem with a Chris King headset on all my bikes. I would never sacrifice quality for looks on a mountain bike. To be honest though, I actually prefer the look of external routing.

Field Test: 5 Trail Bikes Face the Efficiency Test
If I'm riding a fire road or climbing "smooth" single track, I'm locking out my shock. If I'm climbing chunky terrain, I keep it open because the shock helps keep grip. That's why I think this test should been done with all the bikes locking out on a fire road or should have been done on a chunky section of trail if leaving the shocks open.

Field Test: 5 Trail Bikes Face the Efficiency Test
These are trail bikes, not gravel bikes. I'm sure Yeti could care less how fast it climbs on a fire road. The test should have been done on a chunky section of trail, which is what these bikes were designed for.

Field Test: 2023 Scott Genius ST - Cape Not Included
Yeah, this bike is an Enduro bike, not a trail bike. I don't care what Scott says.

I thought the same thing when they were saying the Yeti SB140 had too steep of a HTA at 65. To me, that's spot on for a trail bike.

Field Test: Trek Fuel EX - Evolution Underlined
My first "real" mtb was also a Trek Fuel EX, but with 26" tires. I then had a 29er 2016 Fuel and thought it was great until I test rode a Yeti SB5. Sold the Fuel and have been on Yetis ever since.

Field Test: Santa Cruz Hightower - Extra Normal, Extra Good
I think bikes are reaching the limit with geo numbers, meaning we will see more reviews where nothing has changed. I re-watched a review of a Yeti SB5 LR the other day and they talked about the "slack" headtube angle at 66.1 and the "steep" seat tube angle at 73.1 and that was just 5 years ago. With that being said, it will be harder for these bike companies to justify the cost increase when nothing changes.

Field Test: 2023 Yeti SB140 - The Traction Finder
I agree as well. It's why I always buy the frame and build the bike with components I prefer.
