Phoenix passed a law a few years ago prohibiting dogs from being on South Mountain, which is a public park, when the temperature hits 100 degrees F. There were numerous dogs dying each month during the summer months beforehand.

I agree. It appears this is geared towards e-bikes that aren’t ridden on aggressive changing terrain. One bicycles are powered by humans that don’t sustain the same power struggles as motors or engines. And 2 I don’t see how this system could be quick enough to react in a situation where you are at high speeds but then immediately come to a short drop that climbs up then levels off. It’s all about looking ahead and seeing the trail and making the decision on what gear I need.

Good catch. Correct me if I’m wrong but the total travel is 28mm with the seatpost providing 14mm, which is half, but on the line graph it shows the frame pivot to move in the last 25% of travel. If that’s true then the frame would only move 7mm with a non flex seatpost on the harsher hits

@alicialeggett: I’m to see that you are making major strides in recovering, especially after reading about your initial day to day status. It’s a joy to see you writing again. I hope you continue recover. What would be interesting is to have the helmet cut in half to show the internal damage with an explanation of how the helmet did its job. That’s assuming you are willing to have it cut.

@mikekazimer: off the topic of the chain, but the prior article said the drivetrain makes super boost absolute. Is this drivetrain compatible with super boost and will it change the approach for companies making it like Pivot?
