I'm not going to claim to be a qualified engineer who can school you on terminology, but I find the easiest way to think about that whole triple clamp/dual crown thing is if it you look at really old forks the arch wasn't an integrated part if the lowers it was a metal plate that could be bolted to the lowers on either side, CLAMPing them in place and improving stiffness hence the arch could also be called a clamp. The arch is not, however, a crown (as I believe, and I am sure someone will correct me on this if I am wrong, a crown has to be connected to the steerer, ?although that is not how it is defined?) so triple CLAMP yes, triple CROWN no. If you have ever put dual crowns onto a bike then you would know that the crowns can also be considered as clamps since most use pinch bolts to clamp onto the stanchions. Obviously there are a few exceptions you would probably be right in saying that manitou dorados are dual crown but not triple clamp since they have no arch but hopefully no-one is pernickety enough to give a shit about that since they would obviously know what you mean.

It was said that you had some input into/advice on the building of the X games course but they just ignored it, are the organiser's aware of their screw up in that regard, and do you think they'll sort it out for next year? It would be sick to see you guys show X games what freeride is really about (shame it's not in Utah).
