MBOSC has a lot of projects, one which is to open Pogonip trail through Heroin Hill in Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz bikes has donated a full carbon bike to raise money for this project. MBOSC is very pleased with Santa Cruz bikes support.

is short trackk like single trackk.....cuz i have a 2011 bighit 1 dh/freeride and was wondering if it would be finee...?is it gonna be more flat more dh?
  • 1 0
Short track is a short XC course and you do laps on it - no DH at all.
The course we are building is flat with some "baby jumps", berms, rollers.
A hardtail would be the best or a short travel bike

What happened to Calabassas, and why are they moving the Post Office jumps?
  • 1 0
ive been told that it is built and maintained by the city and that the workers have very little experience with building jumps. its hard to say if that true or not but one thing is who wants to drive over highway 17 every time they want to go ride some dirt jumps. i know i dont. they say that they are going to develop the land where post office is now into housing or something.

 Hey Yall!

Please read this to clear up any concerns:

The Aptos Post Office Jumps are on Barry Swenson Builders property which is currently leased to Santa Cruz County as a temporary bike park. Eventually this land will be developed and Post Office will be plowed (old news). Many years ago (I don't know when exactly) the plan was to put in a permanent SKATEPARK nearby when this Barry Swenson Builder's land was developed. Because of the MASSIVE popularity of the dirt jumps and thriving local mountain bike community, MBOSC, Epicenter Cycling, and numerous locals are rallying to put in a permanent bike park instead. The same people who constructed Post Office Jumps and the Epicenter Pumptrack will be designing and building this new park (once approved) and I assure you that it will be EPIC! So please don't bag on MBOSC for putting on this event. They are the good guys and there are only awesome things to come from their efforts in the future.

Cheers,

Evan Turpen
