The Ultimate Guide to Eurobike 2017

Eurobike 2017

Another year, another week of too many giant pretzels, beer, and Haribo. Oh, and a whole bunch of new bikes and fresh gear from the halls of Messe Friedrichshafen. In a time when tradeshows are losing their importance - brands prefer to launch new products on their own schedule - Eurobike is arguably still the most important of all of these gigs. And while it was a bit thin this year as far as new bikes that don't have a motor and battery bolted haphazardly to them, there was still plenty of previously unseen shiny components to ogle.

Just in case you missed any of those shiny components, below you'll find all of the coverage together in one place.

Excellent coverage of Eurobike! During each one of my frequent breaks from work, there was a new post and some new content. Literally look at the front page right now and look at how much content there is. Absolutely incredible!

 Crankworks, Eurobike, WorldCups, Worldchamps.

Can we register MTB as a religion and get August and September off as a "religious holiday season" so that we may make our many pilgrimages this time of year?

 Church of Dirt.

Not at all critical of PB's coverage, more commenting on the Biz: it's a questionable season of innovations when a current stock bike being sold as "replica" . Is it just that MTB looks to Sea Otter for releases? Or Taipei? Definitely not Interbike, it's days of being the place to launch seem over.

MTB seasons are changing - there isn't strictly a 'season' anymore. Most big bike brands don't exhibit at Eurobike, and with brands like YT and Canyon just dropping new models in when they are ready, the typical 'September Release' season is kinda finished.

I saw that linkage bike today and the front suspension is so damn sensitive, there's no fork in the world that would be so damn sensitive!!! I'm sure that this will be the next new trend if someone actually manages to make this thing look sick!

Glad did not go to eurobike if this is all the good stuff?

Have been to bike trade shows before, all I got was sore feet, IT is to do with all the over head lighting that bake your feet

Havnt really seen any good looking mtb apparel come out in a while. The big black hole is the performance/casual combo

Great coverage, but there didnt seem to be many new bikes launched there. Are the trade having a year off or are they all holding on to do their own launch in the next few weeks

Maybe they finally realized we, their buyers, hate being screwed with new standards every month.
