ahh my favorite Christmas tradition. Love you @sewer-rat

Of all the days, this one might be the one I am most disappointed to not win. I love me some good protection
  • 4 0
Same here, solid prize. That full face and extra pads would be so nice.
  • 2 0
The Sam Hill knee pads are the best I’ve ever owned. All day comfort and great protection. Plus, since you can remove the knee pad insert for washing, they’ve been some of the easiest to take care of as well. Highly recommend!

"Winner gets to pick sizes and colors[sic] where applicable."

Isn't pretty much everything there something that you'd need to make sure you get the correct size in?

Those knee pads were one of my favourite purchases this year. Great protection, zero discomfort.
  • 2 0
Ditto, couldn't ask for much more in a knee pad
  • 3 0
Genuinely curious - do you pronounce this brand’s name as “seven-eye-dee-pea”?
  • 1 0
That's how I say it as a Helmet and Elbow pad owner. Not sure how else it could be said?
  • 2 0
youre not wrong! i always say that too ´śeven-eye-dee-pea´......love their kneepads tho
  • 3 0
got a 7idp helmet currently, got to be one of my favourite pieces of kit
  • 1 0
 Ditto to that!
  • 3 0
i highly recommend the sam hill knee pads
  • 2 0
 Dang 7idp,this one's a cracks!!
  • 1 0
More protection, something everyone can benefit from, but no trousers... Frown
  • 2 0
 just ride in jorts
  • 2 0
@normalrat: better than no jorts I guess, I was imagining how funny I'd look in my 7idp socks, kneepads, and my boxers...
  • 2 0
All of this gear adds up to more than I spent on my entire bike!
  • 14 1
If you spend that little on the bike, it might be a good idea to spend that much on protection!
  • 1 0
I actually need this one! Off to Morzine next year and haven't got a DH lid anymore, nor any real pads!
  • 1 0
serious question, are those 7idp half shell helmets actually good? or are they cheaper quality?
  • 1 0
Ive had one. Best finished lid I have had over Bell, POC, Giro etc
  • 2 0
I've had one of their half shell and fullface helmets, and both were impressive.
  • 1 0
My full face for park is cheap 7iDP and I love it. Of course I'm not a gravity racer so I don't really need some ultra expensive carbon helmet, but it fits me like a glove and for occasional use I more than satisfied
  • 1 0
I have the Project 23 Full Face in ABS and for riding summers in Mammoth it has incredible air flow and is lightweight. Highly recommended. Would assume that their half would be similar.
  • 1 0
@scitrainer: Im looking for a new DH helmet. Does it have the fidlock chinstrap and can all the pads be removed for the washing machine.
Thanks, Chris
  • 1 0
@calarco68: The ABS version does not have Fidlock but the liner and pads do come out. It also comes with an extra set of cheek pads for fitting.

If I had it to do over I would go one version higher for the Fiberglass. It has Fidlock and also their SERT protection system (like Mips)
  • 1 0
@scitrainer: great, thanks a bunch. ill shop for the fiberglass version, i like the speed of the fidlock
  • 2 0
That jersey looks like as if it was designed for Spongebob Squarepants
  • 1 0
 That’s a tough one!
