The coverage was terrible, the commentators didn't even know who was coming across the finish line half the time, it's as if they were making it up as they went along, the whole thing from camera placement to commentating just felt and looked amateurish
Seconded. I actually just gave up and went to bed - not worth staying up for. Compared to usual World Cup/World Champs coverage with Sir Warner and squire of choice, this thing was an embarrassing mess.
Footage- Rider crosses the final jump with a big one footer
Commentators- No comment, no reaction, didn't notice.
Footage- Rider in the finish area has to pull his pants back up

Many people said that this track is the best of the year in North America... I don't like being negative, but our voices must be heard...all we saw of the "best" track were jumps at the bottom, a couple cool berms, and none of the technical, steep terrain that was spoken of. Strange too, since they had a heli???. Perhaps the cool terrain was in the woods and not visible from the heli. Either way...
Commentators seemed to know zero of the track and little about the riders.
Agreed, By the end I was thinking to myself "why did they even bother televising it" Thankfully some of the riders have posted videos of their runs showing just how good the track was and also how alive it seemed with fans giving good support. None of which was seen on the live showing!
Would be fucking awesome to have like a fence-bridge, and there's all those drunk canadiens yelling at you from around and above as you ride by.
Kinda like all the zombies in World War Z.
It sucks about the fence, but the streaker who almost got nailed by kovarik's whip and the track invasion after Stevie passed may have caused some concerns
My expectations for decent camera angles are at zero, based on the choices earlier in the week. So here's to hoping for anything better than full suck...Cheers
At 1:23.58 in the broadcast, Gustavo Ortiz jumps the road gap and a split second later a truck drives through! Don't know if there was a course marshal at that point or not, but if there was he/she was clearly not paying attention. Scary to think how bad it would have been had Ortiz been just a little slower.
The truck appears to have waited for a rider to pass and then gunned it through, slowing down afterward. It appears to have been a perfectly planned crossing.
Dudes the Iles boys be killing it! Finn destroying the 13-15yr olds by 11 seconds, and Jack taking the Junior experts! Finn (14yrs old) would have got 5th in the jr experts! and they both beat all the masters men and the Pro women!
He crashed practicing for the Air DH on Tuesday and took a pretty good knock to the head. He should be okay but so he decided to sit out the rest of the events in order to make sure he is healthy for the World Cup next week.

...sorry for the curse words!
