It can't get any better than that... Give him a drone to follow the riders in live broadcast

 I like this track.
It's different, it's fast, it's rough, and surely it ain't so much "bikeparky" as it looked before.
Racers seem to like it,but yeah, that finish doesn't make any sense.

Im holding judgement until the race. So far I think I prefer the old track

@CM999: I prefer the old track to,but this one is so much different from anything we've seen in the last years, it's exciting.
I wish se could have a few new tracks and venues every season.

Ben, I really do love you.

Wow... That was the best inside the tape, ever. Great job Ben

Ski matting is always a terrible idea!!! I've seen a few really bad crashes caused by it during practice at Windham WC years back due to the matting lifting as riders cornered or braked! F that stuff!!!

WTF is that thing on the left side of the track at 8:32? (outside the tape, just before the platform thing)
Looks like a landmine!
  • 19 0
Yeah but the track builders had to take it out because the riders felt having explosive ordnance on the track was "too dangerous".

@L0rdTom: millennials will whine about anything.

@cls6677: We are the worst. If it isn't crippling student debt, it's our engineering career not being enough to afford our own home.

To be fair, if you think Millennials are bad you should hear Boomers whining that their ebikes are "sTiLl ReAl MoUnTaIn BiKeS"

@L0rdTom: If we are being honest, if any boomers (58 years old or older) are out on single track mtb trails whether on an ebike or not, then good on them. It's the Gen X folks you should be giving a hard time for this really

@gnarnaimo: I know tons of dudes in that demographic - not that unusual. They mostly talk shit about ebikers, too.
  • 2 0
@gnarnaimo: I'm a boomer (63), still on the single track on my human-powered mountain bike. This footage revealed the riders' speed and skill better than the Red Bull cast. Terrifying for mere mortals at any age.

It's most likely an entrance to a spring water reservoir.

I just love that guy! His content is always brillant! Hopefully he will still be there next year when Discovery is taking over.

At least Ben admitted that was pretty negative! Good luck at snow shoe, I wonder how many won't qualify there as the entry is normally pretty small.
  • 4 0
They'd better be paying you well over there Ben. I don't know how you're doing all this in a race week!

WC DH racers: this track is too bike parky
Also WC DH racers: that section of the track is to hard, you can’t expect me to brake to ride a section, get rid of the stumps to make it into a step down/gap, you know, er um, like a feature you’d find at a bike park.
  • 7 2
It’s not that it’s “too hard” it’s that the racing line (which you WILL have to do to compete) is a very difficult feature with a high chance of injury. Removing the stumps is to make it safer, not less difficult, but really there shouldn’t be any “features” this difficult and dangerous because the riders don’t really have an option to just take it safe

In addition to ability, talent, training and apparent lack of fear, its this remarkable ability to visualize and describe a top to bottom run that makes these racers soo fast!

Love watching WC racers go flat out. Looks like there's very little room on this track for hesitation- feels like watching a good motoGP race

 Nothing like confidence inspiring dust.
  • 2 0
Was anybody else wondering if racers get decapitated when standing up on that final bridge?
  • 1 0
such a good analysis ! I was there and goooood that final jump was shittysketchy AF
  • 1 0
Love these, great job everyone. Comparing the riders talking different lines is fantastic.

 Great video mate!

Great job, considering the ¿akward? track....
  • 2 1
Yikes give me rain and mud over that dust any day! So loose looking!
  • 2 0
Mmmm....plenty of rain and mud over here. And then it's me, a spaniard in the Highlands for almost 10 year, and I really miss those loose and dusty tracks....
  • 2 0
I live in So Cal. That is pretty much all we get (dust and rubble/kitty litter over hard pack) Oh yeah, and when the shit gets ground up..... sand.. Sketchy is the way hahahaha (insert sad face emoji here) LOL.
