Maybe in the future these lightweight motors will be installed on the more 'regular' looking bikes. And the full power ebikes will have the integrated shifting.
Would make sense. I don't have the money for an ebike but I would lean towards the lighter ones.

What I find interesting is that if we consider tires to be important: Specialized tires aredoing well.
Out of the top 5 there are 3 riders on Specialzed tires, 1 on Maxxis and 1 on Pirelli.
Always here stories about blacked out Maxxis tires, but does that still happen? Does anybody actually has proof (pictures)?

Specialized's New Dissident 2 DH Helmet is Extremely Lightweight
I would also like to know how save the helmets really are. All the standards are nice, but I read so many stories on (pro) riders getting head injuries even when wearing helmets.
