Review: Ibis Ripmo
If you don't want to pay the price, go elsewhere to get something less expensive. You can get something that works well for a lot less, like the base NX version for about half the price of the revived version. Don't poison the comments with your complaints, go ride instead.

First Look: Jamis' New 3VO Suspension - Sea Otter 2018
Interesting point - can you elaborate? As far as I understand, the current DW-link (gen 5) is optimized around a 32T chain ring.

Fashion vs. Fit: Is Longer Always Better? - Opinion
A tip for estimating bike size and stem length to "new geo": take the reach, stack and stem measurements for your current bike that you feel well balanced on. The effective cockpit length is reach + stem (with some minor adjustments for angles, bar width and bar sweep, but go with me here). Example: So if you go from a bike with a 430 mm reach and 100 mm stem, this gives you a total of 530 mm cockpit length (there might be a better term). If your new geo bike candidate has a 470 mm reach, you'd roughly end up with a 60 mm stem to get the same cockpit length (using the same bars). This way of estimating the reach/stem length has worked very well for me.

Big Wheels: Autumn Feels - Video
This is real world trail riding by someone I could easily imagine being a better version of me. Inspiring! Not some over-the-top enduro-bro with massive airs and roosts everywhere. Some pretty nice moves there, too.

Let's have the Trance in 29 again, please. The old 29er was great and the new carbon 27,5" looks fantastic.

Ask Pinkbike: Choosing a Hardtail, Tire Width, and Stumpjumper Shock Options
I call BS on the tyre volume reply. First of all, grip is largely defined by air pressure. For trail riding you want to run the right air pressure for the trail conditions and weather. For this you need volume to play with. Less volume - less adjustability. Second, more than half the weight is over the rear wheel, so how are you going to get both grip and pinch protection without that volume? The "less volume at the back" myth is dead. Period. You do not want a bigger front tyre - you want a big rear tyre too.

History and Deception - Opinion
I would argue that limiting the motor support to max 25 km/h (like in most European countries), would leave the motorbike aspect pretty dead. 45 and 25 km/h is a big difference in speed. In my country, Norway, there is a bill on the table this autumn to allow ebikes on most trails. We have very strict laws on motorised access, e.g. no motorbikes, cars or snow mobiles outside regular roads in most parts of the country. What I am pretty sure of is that this bill will have a built in trial period (say, ten years) to account for the ongoing technical and behavioural development. After this time the bill will be evaluated. If it turns out that access created motocross heaven, it will be a short lived proposition.
