what are these guys too cool to wear helmets or something?
- - 16
Why do you guys care how someone rides that you don't know and probably will never meet? Ride the way you ride and leave the bitching to the helmet police.
And Ray's looks really sick... I hope they (visit)ed the other one that just opened up!

you dont need helmetes for pump tracks tbh.. depends how fast the track is or if it has any big jumps..

Cappsy, you can fall just as hard on a pumptrack as anything. Pump wrong and get bucked over the bars head first etc

how f*cking hard is it to put on a piss pot helmet? imo pretty weak from pinkbike to give vod to videos that shows people riding without helmets, even on easy tracks, that's the kind of attitude we don't want anywhere. and the video wasn't that superb either, never got the good feeling i often get from good edits.

At least rays probably makes you wear a helmet. One wrong pump and over the bars you go. Put on a helmet we know you have them. Pinkbike should have some sort of say in the videos they allow on. There's too many impressionable kids on here.

^ Are you serious? I'm a big advocate for helmet use but you along with most others that have posted, need to keep to yourselves. If someone asks for advice, I will always tell them that wearing a helmet is always a good choice but you guys are freaking out over these ADULTS who have chosen to ride around without a helmet. It's called personal risk management and if they feel they can safely ride around without a bucket in a situation then who are you to tell them they shouldn't? They are not affecting your lives whatsoever and if the edit is ruined for you because they're doing something that you don't agree with then maybe you should get off this site because people do sometimes ride without a helmet! *GASP!* Live and let ride and worry about yourselves.

Sorry that was for the other guy above me. But to superslow, that's where the PARENTS come in. Blaming a rider for influencing how kids act is as bad as blaming video games for violent behavior. These guys were never meant to be role models and to pin them as that is rediuclous. They will portray themselves just as how they are and if you don't like that then don't watch it. Myself and many others have grown up watching mtb videos where many shots didn't have a rider wearing a helmet in them but we didn't say, "oh great idea! let's do what they do!" That's just absurd.

You're f*cking stupid, did you even read my comment? Every single fat little kid who plays a shooting game knows that it's not okay to just run out with a gun on the street and rage with it. I'm shocked by all the people thinking it's okay to think that they're just going out for some laps on the pumptracks, like "no way I will crash there, I don't need a stupid helmet". I'm not mad at the people that don't use helmets, only at the people (especially pros) that shows it to everyone else and with that saying it's "OK" to do so. As I said, not so hard to throw on that stupid helmet, would at least be nice to see they do it in front of the camera.

^ Yeah same here bud, but my message is, it's not your life, it's theirs. I wish it didn't happen and I know events could be prevented but that's their choice. They don't need your advice on what they should wear so just enjoy the edit instead of freaking out because they're doing something you don't approve of... you get it now, staike? (That anology with video games was referring to kids being influenced not to wear helmets by some web edit, got it?)
Again parenting is the biggest influence in a kid's life, not web edits of someone riding around a pump track.
In the end it's their body and their choices so stop with the criticism of your fellow riders, everyone. They know the consequences so just worry about yourselves. The ONLY attitude you need is a good one towards your fellow riders, not an angry one because YOU think they should be acting different because YOU have some high moral standard that YOU think they should follow. Get over it.

why not wear a helmet though? seriously an xc or even a dirt jumping helmet way close to nothing and dont make you any hotter. so why not? it cant hurt.

and @scott-townes, a web edit is very influential on a kids decisions. do you think a kid would rather listen to his "stupid old parents" or do what professional riders do? lets be honest here, kids do things that pros do simply because pros are cool and kids want to be like the pros that are cool.

Eh whatever, I could go on defending how insignificant the influence of online edits are and how expecting riders to ALWAYS act professional or as a role model is straight f*cktarded, but who cares. I love this video series and I hope next year they'll go more in depth with more trips and footage

It's. A. Video. Watch it, don't watch it. People wear helmets, people don't wear helmets. Some people drink coffee, others don't.

The f*ck. It's not hard to wear a helmet. I'm not asking everyone to wear one, but pros do actually influence people. I have a friend who is a sworn Gee Atherton fan. He bought his replica frame kit, all the same parts he had on the bike, a matching kit, even matching socks. He won't wear knee/leg protectors (just knee only) because Gee does so. The ONLY reason he bought a neck brace was because Gee wears one now. You clearly did not understand what I meant, I don't give a single f*ck if "normal" people wear helmets. Yes, I tell them they're stupid for doing so, but I don't give a single f*ck about it. But pros who actually influences people (a lot more than you obviously are aware of) I want to see wearing a helmet whenever they're riding. If you don't agree to that mr. Scott Townes than you're an idiot.

woah guys chill... its just a personal oppinion. :L and what i ment is your much les lickley to crash hard on a pump track thn you are in a downhil run or riding big dirt jumps....

it wasnt that big....i guess living in southern alberta kinda distorts my sense of big trucks....
- + 1
saw bigger ones during my tour of BC/Alberta. still that dodge is still huge compared to most UK trucks [we have smaller roads and gas is expensive]
- - 2
f150 is the way to go. dodge breaks down after 70 thousand miles. my dads ford is still running strong at 100 thousand. but like therevfryslim said gas is expensive and trucks arent exactly the most fuel efficient cars so they arent very practical for everyday use.
- - 1
150 is pree small, i like 250, 350 is getting big....my dad has an older 250 and the thing is a tank

faced it liked it a lot, don't wanna be a ass hole but just gotta point out the no helmet rule or does it not comply with this video cause its sick?
- + 2
NOT HATIN....but in the vid they said they were closed. They were let in for the filming of this vid.
- + 1
Yeah they are only open in the winter months. I am less than 2 hours from Rays in MKE but I have not been there yet......
Awesome video!
