To be honest, apart from some beautiful shots I didn't find anything impressive in that video. It was like the guy was gaining speed through the whole movie (with an "epic" music in the background) just to hit that little hip in the end...

An anti climax in terms of the usual VOD standard for sure, definately some better videos out there!

I found the cinematography absolutely beautiful, and i don't care if the rider wasn't hitting 1000 foot death drops, that wasn't what this video is about.

VOD isn't all about the riding. It's about the beautiful shots and composition. I think this video is a wonderful piece of work and the rider was a nice touch. And this vid gets me stoked to go riding.

the day you haters make a better movie, is the day you get to start criticizing this one. good video bud! nicely done

If POD is all about the photographers skill in making an awesome picture why can VOD not be all about the film maker? It shouldn't have to rely on the quality of the rider but the quality of the over all film and that was a great artistic peace. All you haters can go watch the other 99% of the videos on this website.

did not do it for me either....not like you could add the most ridiculously wide bars for that bike to the list...

very beautiful vid, but not quite VOD as it gets me more stoked to go out and build then to ride

I don't think you guys understand the point of this video , it wasn't supposed to be about insane riding. Josh and Ben wanted to build this for years , it was more about the trail than anything else. To say it's terrible is a load of crap. Everything was perfectly shot.
It's nice to have a VOD that's not some super-sponsored , big hit line film made by Pro's filming Pro's.
Which is what we get almost everyday.

"it was more about the trail than anything else." so probably that's where it fails... The trail looks like a pretty much ordinary path with one good corner and a small jump at the end. Maybe it's cool to ride it but not really interesting to watch (despite great shots). The level of riding doesn't really have much to do with it...
I do agree though, that it's better to see something different as a VOD than a sponsored video which was on a main page a day or two before

I think this was more about closure since our friend Ben was leaving for school in the big city, so they finally got around to making this video after talking about it for years before he moved. What else can I say , I liked it.

^ So to get VOD we just need someone on the pinkbike staff that knows us personally
That trail was really nothing special at all, although looks fun as hell to ride. The riding wasn't anything but cruising along, aside from the style on the last hit.
I highly enjoyed the video overall though because as mentioned before, this was more about the filming than anything else which was awesome, same with the song. My only gripe about it was the beginning. I had to skip it because I want to see riding, not a bunch of nature still-shots, haha.

Amazing shots, and that is what this film is about. The riding wasn't anything special, but that's not the point of THIS video. Some people just seem blind to anything except insane hardcore DH riding...

what a load of shit nothin good about that 95% of bikers on pinkbike could do the same then we could all get a vod....

yes and i dont really think 95% of pinkbike users could do that, he still jumped a good 10 feet. with a little style.
