We've just received the qualifying results from Fort William and the biggest surprise is Aaron Gwin 11 seconds back in 29th spot. Word is that Gwin crashed twice in his run, we'll update as soon as we have more news.

STOP PRESS: Steve Peat is possibly out with a suspected torn hamstring. He rolled out of start hut and then proceeded straight back onto the gondola. His place is protected as he is a top 20 rider and that guarantees his place come finals.

Rachel Atherton on course...

Rachel Atherton qualified first as well, while brother Gee qualified second for the men. That puts all three GT riders in the top two spots for the start of tomorrow's race.


Rachel Atherton breezed in with a fast qualifying time and 9 seconds of breathing room. Emmeline Ragot may have been able to make her sweat a bit but unfortunately for Ragot a rock on the upper section of the track had her name on it and she flatted very early in her qualifying run.

 jamis, are you kidding? NASCAR is the best! Well at least the last 20 laps are. I highly doubt you kids have ever given it a chance. Spend the 20 minutes, watch the last 20 laps and enjoy the mayhem. I guarantee you that you'll like it. Imagine a bunch of rednecks fighting over the last x-mas tree at Wal-Mart on the 24th of December... now imagine they all have cars with 700 horsepower. You're just an idiot if you don't find that entertaining.

 Scott-townes, I've watched NASCAR with my father. I get bored after 10 minutes and I go ride my bike. Yes, the last few laps are fun to watch but the whole thing seems very over-hyped to me.

 Which is why I said the last 20 laps are.... and people who are fans of NASCAR can barely get through a whole race. It's too damned long but other than that it's fun to watch. You just gotta appreciate what you're watching but because they do it so well, it doesn't hold people's attentions, kinda like how not everyone is in mbting. Weird concept, right?

 Nope, Marc is cool, I met him in So Cal along with the rest of team.GT. I meant that qualifying is" just qualifying". When Marc starts getting the top slot consistently then he is a boss.

I like all the top pro's, If gwinny wins then thats just a bonus since he is SO Cal product
