Why take the wide line, when you can air into the mouth of the chute?
James..a big mountain machine
After dropping a chute you have lots of speed... Doerfling getting moto...

James Doerfling is wicked. One of my favorite new school bad asses.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 0:43)
Fark yea he is wicked. That drop is sooooo huge, yea you know want drop im talkin bout
(Jan 16, 2012 at 1:21)

(Jan 16, 2012 at 1:51)
Pretty sure its a Knolly Podium
(Jan 16, 2012 at 6:33)
James that's such a rad riding!! and yeah, it seems a Knolly.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 9:31)
Those freight cars in the background?
They are for his massive balls.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 10:34)
This guy is sick, I love huge mountain riding and Doerfling does it sooo well!!! Love the looseness on the berms, the massive/insane drops, and the peeling of the bead off the rim!!! Yesterday I happened to land a whip at 90 degrees and my bead as well came off a bit, let out some air and pushed it back in no problem...Thought I bent my wheel at first, funny that it just happened yesterday for the first time while I'm sure Doerfling does it multiple times daily haha
(Jan 16, 2012 at 12:21)
How do you even begin to judge the speed for a drop like that. Deliberately rhetorical.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 15:55)
Man i gotta say james doerfling is so gnarly, that last drop is ridiculous,i thought it would just have been a rwgular run out after, but he continues his line down the hill,so epic him and garrett buehler are deffinatly my two favourite freeriders comin out of the newschool
(Jan 16, 2012 at 16:43)
he is a few cans short of a sic pack that boy is
(Jan 16, 2012 at 18:05)
what a talented rider! Holy shit!
(Jan 16, 2012 at 8:36)
Probably the best PB post of all time.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 0:18)
Dude rides like a boss. Love that second to last pic.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 9:17)
Great video James! Filming sweet as always Mitch!

(Jan 16, 2012 at 0:27)
i searched the word shredding for a definition and this article popped up.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 15:03)
BAD-ASS!!! And as far as I'm concerned...protective gear is for guys that have lots to loose. Like me...workin dad/ husband. Cuz I gotta work on Monday!
(Jan 16, 2012 at 19:37)
maybe i can do that too... only if I'm not afraid of the cost of new bike components... how pathetic most of us Filipino riders... poorest riders in the world! tsk tsk tsk! hahah
(Mar 8, 2012 at 23:43)
sus, ginoo maria, Just do it!
(Jan 18, 2012 at 16:34)
This guy is definatley Rampage winning material
(Jan 16, 2012 at 0:53)
There's no way he can wear pants comfortably.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 0:42)
drop at 240 one of the biggest ive seen,he mans up and dose it in a singlet
(Jan 17, 2012 at 20:55)
Doerfling has the best big mtn style imo... that drop at 2:45 was beastly..! totally outta hand...
(Jan 16, 2012 at 14:44)
Nobody hits a berm like Doerfling
(Jan 16, 2012 at 10:58)
Excellent rider... Really just amazing. Not to stoked about the lack of protective gear though.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 11:28)
Protective gear is just like strapping on weights when you're skilled. It slows down your movements and fatigues you sooner. I don't think it'll help him too much if he happens to go down, but what do I know? I figure he needs his agility maxed, his muscles fresh, and rely on his confidence, rather than having the risk, of what happens if he goes down, on his mind. I don't know how much he's worked to get to this point, but I doubt he's doing this stuff to figure out what he can do; I think he's doing because he knows he can do it and a crew gives a bit of support and motivation to actually go out and do it.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 12:48)
I guess I never thought of it like that... Either way the guy can ride!
(Jan 16, 2012 at 13:07)
protective gear is a personal choice no one should have to wear it.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 16:30)
Protective gear is a personal choice, though many pros use it selectively. Notice how he uses a neck brace sometimes, and most pros run knee/shin guards. I always wonder if they use more gear guinea pigging stuff off camera.
(Jan 17, 2012 at 6:02)
he rocks a flannel when he does the backflip to huge descent, thats like the most protective clothing pattern known to man
(Jan 17, 2012 at 15:59)
your neck and head are the most important to protect
(Jan 18, 2012 at 15:06)
the pro's snap themselves all the time, watch Red Bull Rampage 2011, it's absolute carnage! I get why they don't wear armour, but they'd bust themselves up a lot less if they wore a bit more than they do!
(Jan 16, 2012 at 8:08)
is anybody else stoked off their tits right now
(Jan 16, 2012 at 17:33)
My tits are so hard
(Jan 16, 2012 at 18:59)
I think your tits are angry too. Just guessing though. Mine are aroused after seeing this video.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 11:10)
might have to start welding that bead to the rim.
(Jan 16, 2012 at 16:16)
