Seriously...Remi doesn't even get a single mud splatter on his shorts in the video....is he that fast?
Where is the bit of the video where ha has to peel mud splattered kit off and try and put fresh cloths on so he can drive his car without covering the seats in a ton of mud (like normal people)?
What the hell is wrong with having a hood these days?!? I really love all of those jackets.. but my Endura softshell has no hood, and I avoid that thing like the plague if I can get away with it... nothing like a bit of extra neck warmth/security, and the fact you can use it as a casual more often in the crap weather
@steviestokes: I wouldnt say security is all up there. I had my hood of the jacket catch a cut off branch. The little stubbie part of the cut, you know? Well it caught and made me crash. Felt like I got blind sided.
@chillrider199: troy lee has some options with 'hood in zippered collar' action. Remember, fox is based out of socal where its a coastal desert-where u may need a jacket while your havn a beer around the car post ride but if its raining, ur at home cuz most of the trails dont ride well when raining.
@jrocksdh: True true. If I moved to BC or NW Washington I would get the hardcore rain gear. Here in Utah people get ticked if you ride in the rain due to ruts etc. The dirt doesn't handle it as well.
Saw a guy walking round at the endure this weekend, he was about 30yds away.. and i just was focussed on that bloody monolith overhanging his head...
just needs to be shorter, and the shell slightly slimmer and it would be perfect.. but it just seems to have totally overstepped those boundaries.
Fox gets it, not every rider wants to ride around looking like a billboard. I don't mind branded gear, but 90% of what's out there is just embarrassing. You want ME to pay YOU $80 bucks for a jersey that has your logo visible from over-flying aircraft? That sounded cool when I was 12, less so since. I've gone a couple years without now buying any new mtb apparel, but some solid options here. Maybe the rest of the industry will get the memo one day.
All I ever want is a local store that has the entire TroyLee Designs riding gear line on the shelf, so I can go...try it on, mix and match and be good to go. And carry it year round, so that when I lose a damn glove, I can go back to the local store...and buy two pairs next time.
Actually...maybe I just need a bike shop that sells singular TroyLee Designs gloves, so that when I lose another F-ing glove, I can get a perfect match and not have THREE gloves. -----Needs glove transponder locating device.
The Rampage Helmets are by the comfiest lid I've ever put on but i'll be sticking with the D3.
Fox don't give you a spare visor and seeing the lengths a friend of mine had to go through to replace his (it's still being held on with duct tape) is just a joke.
Yeah, nah, it's spring here. I'll get a bit hot in that lot. Though I do be liking me that blue n green colour way on that full face helmet. Is it ok if I have three full face helmets? Any rules against that?
I love the sound of birds and hubs chirping and rubber on dirt instead of music. Props to Fox for going a different direction with this video and getting us back to what really gets us out there on the trail.
@ryetoast: Pisgah National Forest serves the up. Used to, all the off the beaten path routes were covered in them. Near my house, lots of private property have them.
I used to think this too, but in the summer, when it's hot out, rain pants are too much. I don't care if my legs get wet... feels good in the summer. But a wet ass... that's a different story. And that rear-wheel spray will guarantee a wet ass. Sitting on a wet chairlift also sucks.
@smike: For DH I always preferred pants, but do use shorts when it's hot. the thing is, when it's hot, you're all wet and sweaty anyway! When it's a downpour and you're stuck out, pants prevent rain from soaking into your shoes (I run gore tex, the top is the only place rain comes in). So yea, maybe BOTH would have been good. Would be nice to have a good set of weatherproof riding pants. Still have my fox demos, good quality.
@Niner-Life: dang, I actually like all of it but the fits.. I can't get away with wearing guy fitted gear unfortunately I'm pretty over the flowers, butterflies, pink and overly teal options.
It's funny that Fox launches its Fall Collection, Endure the Elements, with a guy riding Rock Shox. Isn't suspension their main line of business? Maybe pick a guy who rides the full Fox complement. Anyway, those Rockshox products being used in those conditions have really convinced me that Rockshox will Outlast the Elements as well.
bholton: lol dbodoggle: Read an article about this, but cant remember exactly, bad relationship? maybe?...but yeah, two brothers, bla bla, two independet totaly different companies...im sure half ppl dont know, that fox on their jersey its not same like fox on their fork

Check out the Dakine line. I picked up there waterproof hoody this during and love it. Great fit and features and it comes in black.

Somehow I doubt it..
