Selected by Matt Wragg - If you get the right shot, details like the riding being completely in focus stop being as important. The only thing we care about here is that perfect line of brown dirt, cutting its way through the snow. Beautiful stuff.
Create a duplicate layer, add the infrared effect, layer mask to clear unwanted infrared then merge layers. I'd take a guess at this being how it was done, still looks amazing though!
For the doubters, just google infrared effect using photoshop.
I'd wager that this photo hasn't been through Photoshop (yes, it will have been processed in something like Lightroom, but so has virtually ever decent photo you see) - look at the Exif data, if this had been worked on, then that data would have been stripped out.
You can tell that its legit by the frost on the trail (right under the rider). I think the trail just didn't frost over for the most part, just the vegetation.
