Using his new Lezyne Engineering tools, Danny MacAskill re-visits his old job, in the workshop of MacDonalds Cycles in Edinburgh Scotland and chats over his rise to success and how life has changed. Featuring some new street trials content filmed exclusively for Lezyne by Cut Media's Stu Thomson in the streets of Edinburgh. Danny also takes a mountain bike ride high on to Dumyat in Trossachs hills in Central Scotland and talks over his love for mountain biking.

I wonder as an all rounder, he might be up there. He is at the top of his game in trials, he is a beast on the MTB too. I wonder if the top downhillers could do what he does? All round amazing rider, and seems like an honest and genuine person too, its rare to find that
^he placed 2nd in one of the mass start down hill events fairly recently. Also as far bringing our sport to the publics atention no one has done it more. 30 million veiws or something on his origanal video that got him his fame!
skills like balance and bike control and simply knowing your's and your bikes limits which he has learnt throught doing trails can be taken over to any other style of riding maing him (in my eyes) one of the most rounded riders in the world
Whether or not people think he's the best in the world or at what he does, its amazing to watch how fluid he is on the bike doing things that I would never even think would be remotely possible on two wheels.
yeah he came 1st in the Scottish megavalanche at glencoe competing against some really skilled riders so there you go!
another great video from Dmac, fantastic stuff!
It's called MacAvalanche, it's not related to the Mega series. Think they're having another in April.
Danny was actually 3rd, Joe 'Dude of Hazard' Barnes was first and Neil Donoghue was second.
My thoughts on the matter: Danny MacAskill has released a new video. My actions: 1. Add to favourites 2. Shut & lock the door as I'm not being disturbed 3. Enjoy the sickness! 4. Cry about how inadequate a human I am.
hmmm we might do better, a smaller country with less problems to solve and not having to share its GDP with wales, england and northern ireland. the scots have always wanted independence from day one, so its a big prospect for us..... I'm to young to vote anyhow, so it doesn't matter!
If there were a list of people who are the best at what they do, and are still human and humble while doing it, I think Danny needs to be in the Top 5. He seems like the kind of guy that would be the best friend you could ask for, not to mention.... a great rider! haha
Imo that was the best riding of Danny since his breakthrough and Way Back Home, cause it had more surprising and imaginative lines than there were in his recent edits. So nice to see him back in the spots where he used to shred all day long (I suppose )!
The difference between Danny and other "rippers" is that he's got that smooth gracefulness that only the artists possess. It's like watching a great guitarist, say Hendrix, Clapton, Blackmore or Guthrie Govan - to them it's all so effortless... because they've honed those chops over and over and over and over. I'd love to see him and Chris Akrigg jamming together ... is there any specific reason it hasn't happened yet? Pinkbike - get yer ass of the chair and make it happen!!
You nailed it Paul! It's that smooth gracefullness that really sets him appart. He may be riding a huge scary gap but still it's kinda like a ballet. It's so gracefull it makes you forget how crazy some of his stunts are. I love watching his videos and as you've said yourself, a vid of him riding together with Chriss Akrigg would be epic!
Efaristou! We are forgetting though that Chris needs to recover from his last awful accident before a jam session can take place (BTW Danny also has been injured many times over... something that we all forget when we look at those smoothly produced vids....) ...
If you want the sickest spot in the world to film your next video It's in southern California and you and your viewers will sh#t your pants.... The potentials are limitless for trials... The environment is unlike anything you have seen. Contact me or you will be missing the opertunity of a lifetime.
So inspiring watching his video clips, it made me go a bit crazy and buy a street trials bike and found out that you need more than the right bike to do these stunts. It is fitting that he rides an Inspired bike and has made Inspired bikes so popular So Danny if you read this would you like a MTB with a sealed drive? www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDuWn2ncOp8 Also there is a Innovations in Scottish Mountain Biking day at Glentress on Thursday the 1st March, Danny you should be there as you Innovation in riding has put Scotland on the map
There's a lot of good biking in Scotland, as long as you don't mind riding or pushing to the top most of the time
My actions: 1. Add to favourites 2. Shut & lock the door as I'm not being disturbed 3. Enjoy the sickness! 4. Cry about how inadequate a human I am.
I'm not biased at all... :o)
GO MEGASKILL!!!!
