Here it comes, Spring is finally here, bringing some better riding conditions and announcing the beginning of the racing season.

Oh sweet, i've always wanted to do an enduro-dh race, it'd be awesome with a Kona like that, adjustable travel etc. Is that a Coilair or an abra-kadabra? Can't tell, they look so similar.

Wuffy27, it's a cadabra (the lower model of the cadabra line, but the frame is the same as in the abra-cadabra)

Sick video.. Glad to see that the Enduro/Super D bikes getting ridden.. If you guys have never ridden a AM bike like this you need to. They are the most fun bikes out, I will continually reach for my 6 inch AM bike over my dh bike.. Props on the video, you were ripping it up.. and good luck with your races to come..
@ shred-nz-media: the karim cadabra is unique. It's different from the cadabra for sale. He has made changes to the magic link and to the fork (fox 36 160mm): the bottom bracket is lower and the headset angle is like 66-67° (the original is about 68,5-69°). The result is an enduro bike!
That is so ballsy to ride like with clips. I've seen so many guys tear the shit out of their ankles bailing while clipped in. I ride AM with clips, and I'm always popping my foot in and out to have a fall back or to hop off quickly in a sticky situation.
Props for that skill. He must be amazingly fit to ride that hard for 45 minutes.

I see some americans have never heard of enduro, or think about it as motorbike cousin of this.
Its practically mix of xc and dh together and track lenghts are bit longer than dh tracks, but much less than xc loops, so that allows the genious use of terrain and high speed from start to finishline without passing out.
Bikes are the same as "all mountain" to you, but i think that the difference goes in competitions for those bikes.

What's the point in the disc brake guard? If you are going to get a rock strike on it that would've caused the disc issues, it's gonna seriously damage the carbon as well, just seems a little redundant tbh
The rotor gaurd is too protect your'e brake rotor from damaging,carbon is strong enought too take a beating.Motocross riders also use them with out any problems.
There's alot more roost in motorcross though isn't there, and if you take a knock to the carbon and damage the weave, you're going to seriously compromise the structure right?
If he is halfway through a race that could earn him bank, that is say, 45 minutes long, im pretty sure he doesnt want a rock wedging its way into his brake and ending the race early for him?
I don't get why konas have such a bad rep, they ride well and they work, I get the whole the suspension is outdated, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

consitering he was ripping harder on a AM bike then most of the poser kids on here with their full on DH bikes I would say that a full face was acceptable.
