Just like the helmet vid from the Bresse WC, it's more demanding than it looks. As someone else mentioned, we have tech as well, but holding speed can be just as challenging. And oh yeah, having fun riding isn't so bad either. Have fun on your little hardtail brit-boy.
- + 3
why such a big deal about a smooth dirt path trail.
get a hardtail and like 100mm forks and you could hit that way faster and have more fun.
american dh is a joke. surely with all the mountains you could make a beastly tracks but no its all dirt paths etc.
- + 1
at least if an american got into the world cup theyed come to fort bill and that would show them wat a dh track is suppoeed to be like

I was thinking the same. A V10 on that track? when here you get people pinned on my harder trackes on sx trails and things.
- + 2
I don't think there is a course here in the states as tech as anything in the UK and if there is it's probably a hidden spot..y'know you gotta race against the local govt first & all the DH bike bling can't win that. The states still have riders like Gwinn though
- + 2
Rad video, a lot fo my friends raced this and I recognized a lot of people I know in this! Really cool, I should try it next year. I also like the song a lot, Four Year Strong is a sick band. Don't complain because the music wasn't MGMT or Crystal Castles. This song is refreshing compared to what is currently in popular edits.

the vids really well done and deserves VOD. BUT, if this is the sort of difficulty that US dh tracks have to offer its no wonder they struggle on the world circuit. that looked easily doable on a ht or am bike.
- + 9
Apart from maybe two sections, that trail just looked like a dirt path. No wonder you guys don't have many top riders in the WC's if that's what your race circuits are like. There looked to be maybe one section with roots, and one section with a few rocks. A jump here and there and a drop, but no real technical riding?
- + 4
Couldn't agree more! That course is no where near as technical as 90% of the DH tracks in the UK. Looks like the DH sections you get at UK trail centres rather than a DH course
- + 2
yh i agree compared to uk stuff that looked really tame an not very tech. thats y for me that vid wasnt that great cos after a while the shots got repetitive an abit boring.
- + 20
lmao sell the dh bikes and get a road bike because there aint no point of suspension on that track
- + 5
all you guys that are saying shit about the course... have you ever ridden there? most likely not. so dont talk about it being tame and no point of suspension. people like you make this site no fun.

f*cking Canadians, think the invented the wheel or some shit...
lol scotland invented the bike
also i was being half sarcastic with that comment and i agree with the other guy it does look fun just isnt really technical enough IMO

I'm not saying the course is bad. It looks like my type of course, flat out, and wide open. I hate technical, but from the looks of things, most of the US DH video's I've seen haven't been overly technical, which is why there aren't many US guys competing at the top level of WC's.
- + 3
just because there are some smooth sections on the course, doesn't mean you're going to beat everyone down the mountain you race against, mr. Europeans. the course still takes plenty of skill, even though it may not be the kind of skill you work on. we have our fare share of technical riding here int the northwest. don't even try to say otherwise...
- + 5
im not sayin the entire us its huge there must be some tech stuff there but for a race track that particular track is tame!
- + 5
hey fleck u ignoramus. look at the flag. those were brits commenting on the lame-factor of that course..not canucks. i could say so many things here about yanks...but i wont.
- + 3
aha, are the brits feeling a bit insecure about their terrain? apples to oranges mate.
ps nothin against uk half my family is from there, just funny whats being said.

I said 'That trail looked like a dirt path'. nothing against the rest of the US, just saying, most of the tracks I've seen have been a little less technical then most of the European tracks like Shladming, and Champery etc.
- + 2
Hey when you ride a course like that thats on the tame side its still fun to rind and race. If the course is too easy for you your not going fast enough.
- + 3
what the hell is up with all these guys from the UK bitchin' about our tracks when they haven't even ridden here. I've ridden at Ft William and it's not that much worse than shit here!
- + 2
you win? your flag is american, whistler is in canada? what? whistler still isnt really rough massively technical downhill, but i still want to got there so badly, im not a fan of technical rough downhill im just saying...
- + 1
lmfao dental hygiene mabye you lot should worry about obesity on a more serious not we are both compairing apples to oranges so lets just leave it.
- + 1
whats up with everyone bashing americans about obesity...they just have a lot of people which is inevitable that people are going to be fat...CANADA has a larger obese people to skinny people ratio than the states...the states just has more people
- + 1
You can't tell me that that track was no more than a pathway for the majority of it. If you compare that with most tracks in the UK, it would be one of the most tame, and easy. There were a maximum of 4 sections there that required good downhill skills.
- + 2
haha really? cuz I can think of more than 4 sections. you have never ridden there, and this video only showed a portion of the track, so just chill man.
- + 1
there were braking bumps up top that at high speed would kick u over handelbars if u broke over them.... and all u UK fag are gay and come ride some really trail in cali... u ant seen rock intell u come here...
- + 3
sweet! saw steve smith and bryn atkinson in there i do believe... oooh eric and his mullet... he better cut that soon
- + 3
you know. that was his explination for getting it in the first place. or something along the lines of that
- + 2
I will name my next child after you Andy....great clip. I hope you make a DVD next year, since we got no more NW Dirt Cultures.
