who read santa cruz and than you see a speci and think what?!? you read the text again and you notice it meant the location santa cruz.. very nice edit!!
So what? Did he give directions or a map? The only people who watch mountain bike videos are other mountain bikers. It's not that hard to find any trail out there, (Try strava!)!
Don't assume that everyone on this site is your riding buddy; park rangers aren't stupid. That being said, pointing out a trails current legal status doesn't help either.
On a sort of related note; didn't the Transition guys get fined for riding off trail in some picture on this site and others.
At least its not one of the biggest bike companies in the world using our local illegal trails in their advertisements, I couldn't imagine they would do that!
The Transition guys got in trouble for riding on hiking trails in the national forest up near Mt. Baker near Bellingham, WA. And I don't believe that they got fined, they were only ordered to remove all offending photographs from their websites.
And no one wants you riding on there trails, oh sorry trails on there land that they didnt even know existed because thay never go on there property, then they deatroy then and fine you. Biking doesnt probuce any biprobuct if the riders dont leave trash behind or make too much noise. This is a huge problen in santa cruz county and needs to be fixed
I like how you're stoked on your hard work being in this video. All I gotta say is on this site there's a lot of people who don't dig and Get bent out of shape when random people ride their local trails. these people should quit riding and buy a surfboard, you've got the wrong attitude for this sport.
F@ck yea I built that berm at :57 sooooo awesome to see in a news page worthy video got me way stoked to build more. Great vid of our local trails, making it worth digging out in the ranger infested woods of sc. KEEP EM COMIN!!!!
i live three hours away from those trails and they are amazing. it doesn't matter that the majority of them are illegal when someone put time and effort to make a piece of art that you can ride and they chose to provide it to any rider. great trails and a great edit!
ya actually just got back home from riding that trail...its called sick and twisted or some people who are newer to riding here in sc call it sweetness. Honestly its more fun on like a 5 inch travel bike. sick movie tho i havent seen that kid on the trail yet ill have to keep my eyes open
interesting, I have been riding there for the past i dont know 2-3 years and have always called that trail sweetness. I have heard people call it magic carpet but not sick and twisted. The other trail with that big gap is in another whole location. Do you think you got the trails mixed up?
oh and yes a 5-6 inch travel bike is a lot more fun on that trail, however at the end when ur cookin up speed riding my glory is just so fun!!!
i call that first one either magic carpet or sick n twisted...its the one that is literally right next to airborne. sweetness...which others call magic carpet is next to z's (RIP). gahh...f*ck trail names. the trail gap goes over dead campers, it comes off the bottom of max's trail, which is well hidden, its in another part of the mountain entirely anyways, more positive publicity for our trails legitimizes them, better than having chopper lifts out and grom-parent's potential law suits being the only publicity those trails get. anyways, sick edit. good night pinkbike.
I'm only 20 min. for here and ride it often. It's a great ride with the best dirt around here at this time of year. Heading up there this Friday for a bombin run with my son on his 15th birthday and his new Specialied Demo 8.
where i live, it gets to 35 degrees C, 100% humidity and the highest UV rating in the world during summer... although the riding is good but only during winter :c
Thats the weather up there right now? Thats better than down here in SoCal! I have been shredding in snow in Los Angeles for the last 3 weeks! [Tho that is 5000 up...]
