This has probably been one of the best summers ever at Whistler Crankworx. We rented a big house and we shared it with a bunch of homies, thanks Remy Morton, Baxter Maiwald, Boris Beyer, Ace Hayden, the girls, Laurie Greenland, Luis Biscaldi, Nick Pescetto, Gionata Livorti for keeping the house tidy and cleaning up after the 'little' party we had. Cheers to everyone else for the good times, we managed to experience some of the best riding and everything else that Canada has to offer. We already can't wait for next year.

Pescetto used to have an RV (we call it camper in Italy) which he used as a roll in for dirt jumps and stuff
Bottom line, people have fun in whatever way is fun to them in their respective social groups, and I think deep down all of us want to be able to share good times when we have them. There's literally nothing wrong with this, it's not misrepresentative of the sport at all. Mountain biking doesn't demand a certain lifestyle in order to partake, you can party and live out of a van by a river, or you can slang shortage reports at a morning status meetings with senior management and take the family to church on sunday... regardless you can still mountain bike and have fun doing it. If people want to split a 3k AirBNB between 20-25 people, sounds like a good ass time to me, but might not be to you but that doesn't mean it's a misrepresentation of mountain biking.
Cliff notes: "They're not having fun how I like to have fun, so I DISAGREE" is actually just being a dick. Nyjah Houston is young. I didn't party as much as I could have at their age and I used to be bitter about others who did it all the time. I hope that as your life goes on you learn to give other people the thumbs up, especially when they're not specifically ruining something for you. In case you didn't know, freeride is bred out of being drunk and rowdy. All the fest guys, who are arguably the faction that defines freeride at the moment, party just like this. All the time. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean it's wrong, and there's certainly nothing wrong with expressing your distaste for it or your "opinion" but it becomes an issue when you start dictating how other people are supposed to enjoy themselves.
