A boy and his Troy—Devinci ambassador and Squamish-based gravity gangster Kenny Smith recently requested a test drive of the all-new all-mountain Troy. So we packaged up a bike and sent a cameraman to capture the fun. The result? See for yourself as Smith smashes berms, points it down precipitous rock faces, and turns B.C.’s loamy rainforest into a hypersonic blur.
Have always respected Kenny Smith's riding but wasn't til we went camping on a Chilcotin MTB mission that I learned how funny he can be too!! He literally dropped me to the ground laughing our faces off doing comedy voices before descending thousands of feet of wicked terrain!! #ellosedeverto Keep rocking bro!!
Yeah. Cutting switchbacks is a no-no on every trail, for every user. And three shots of an air to off-trail landing might be overkill for just a blown turn?
Sure the guy is rad, and those trails look fun, but the edits are not responsible stewardship. Maybe its just a hotter issue where I'm from...
@blanshard16: But kids elsewhere see this behavior and try to emulate it. Not cool in places where we fight to keep access, less like squamish that promotes mtb's...
:24 locked rear brake cutting switchbacks skidding and destroying the vegetation between them in slowmo... Cutting switchbacks is not accepted anywhere, even worse when you lock your rear brake and trash the vegetation between them.
Split pivot, wheel size, head angle, components, all the things that go into making this an awesome bike, the one that gets me most is I think the looks killer. I for some reason like the way bikes look with a vertical shock. Guess that's why I'm still rocking an Iron Horse........... jeez... time to upgrade.
good to see some shredding from kenny...it was a bit quiet about him since he left special ed. such a sick guy. the troy could be my next bike...geo is spot on but i really dont like pressfit bottom brackets :-(
@sovereigncycle: LoL that was the other guess.... but I talked myself out of it because I thought ports on the outside of the downtube were a thing of the past. Anywho, sick riding!
