Only if Claudio and Warner commentate!
  • 1 0
Claudio doesn't want the job now since he made €250000 on each of these pumptracks. He's retired, apparently.

This is cool for the sport. Thanks RedBull. I need to figure out a way to support you without drinking it.
  • 6 1
 just send them your dollars
  • 1 0
We'd love if you just bought the product. You can do whatever you want w/ it at that point.

Man, this looks like so much fun
  • 10 0
Now this is a proper world tour. UCI, take note.
  • 3 0
Nnononono UCI get lost, don't bother and stay away from pump tracks...
  • 9 0
No Australian stop, the place where Pump Track World Championships started?
  • 6 0
Yeah, found that a little odd too.
  • 4 0
@captyvatemedia: heard velosolutions are paving old mate's backyard and will host next year's final
  • 5 0
There aren't any velosolutions pump tracks in Aus to my knowledge, and it seems like it's a partnership so races are only on velosolutions tracks. Need to get one built in Sydney!
  • 6 0
Why didn't they just bring back four cross?
  • 6 0
cuz this is simply better long term investment in every aspect. location and access for local communities.
  • 3 0
This is easier to set up than 4 cross. You don't need any kind of hill, pump tracks are everywhere and the overall people/area involved is less.
  • 1 0
 @BullMooose:
I wish they were everywhere!

Just wait for the announcement of the european 4cross series 2018 Wink
4cross.eu
  • 1 0
@Flo356: hope they have big sponsor so we can view live racing here!
  • 1 0
@fullbug: There were already some livestreams of a few European 4Cross Series events in 2017: 4cross.eu/livestreams/leibstadt-2017
  • 1 0
 @Flo356: much thnx!
  • 1 0
@BullMooose: @Flo356: Wait, so 4cross needs a hill, but there's 4cross in EUR? Wink Must be in the Alps...
  • 5 0
Are all of these on Velosolutions-built pump tracks? I'm guessing that has to do with the locations.
  • 2 0
 Yep for sure Smile
  • 3 0
Velosolutions has subsidiaries who also do the work. It isn't just Claudio traveling all over the world building these tracks. Which goes to show really how successful this really is.

By the end of the month we can finally build the track in my town, really stoked about that. Unfortunately no asphalt (at this stage at least) but still cool enough to take the BMX out and have a quick blast (or a good long summernight session).

I hope it is chain less!!!!! Show true pump track skill.
  • 5 0
Maybe this will encourage more pump tracks in the US?
  • 3 0
Ikr! Why every city can't see the value is crazy! These should be as plentiful as skateparks and baseball, soccer fields.
  • 1 0
 @bikebike69: more plentiful

Pump tracks: PAVED vs DIRT - Anyone have thoughts on this???
My town is looking into building a track and leaning towards a paved track as skaters could use it too and it should reduce maintenance. However the local MTB community is strongly in favor of dirt as it's more natural, allows for minor changes, and won't hurt so bad if ya crash! Money is not a concern.
Would love to hear feedback from PB folks.
  • 3 0
Dirt is great if there's going to be dedicated people to take care of it or funds to pay someone that knows how to maintain it, otherwise asphalt will virtually always be there ready to ride at any time. $.02
  • 1 0
@mtbrider119: I agree, asphalt is ready to roll but this is Red Bull we're talking about where there is no shortage of funds or hero clay.
  • 3 0
PAVED! I have both in my area so I can give you the pros and cons of both. Your community is is right, dirt gives you a more natural feeling. Sadly most people are too lazy to use a shovel know and then! A paved track is always ready even in the winter. The only bummer is that all the scooter-kids can use it as well.

And don´t worry to much about chrashes. Nearly every crash I experienced or saw ended up on the grass next to the track.
  • 3 1
 Wear pads. One problem solved.
  • 3 0
Being from a biking mecca in Vancouver it annoys the hell out of me we don't have an awesome e dedicated pump track... like they have them all over Europe ffs....
  • 3 0
Pore thing you have to deal with all of those Bike parks that are all over the place where you live Big Grin
  • 1 0
The two USA stops are in the weirdest places. I wonder why? We have other velosolutions in other parts of the country with more population and a bigger bike communities. Like New York for example. I wonder why right in there middle of corn country. Two stops close by too. Spread it out Red Bull. East coast and a west coast.
  • 1 0
Very confused Do you know where Leavenworth is? Judging from the comments... does anyone? Google Maps, people. Razz
  • 1 0
Those I believe are the largest two pumptracks in the us
  • 4 1
Exactly, no race in Czech? Why? Don´t you know where Tomas Slavik is from? Pump harder
  • 2 0
Nic s tim nenadelas, pumptracky od Velosolutions bohuze nejsou v Cesku tudiz nebudou delat zavody na draze kterou nepostavili oni Big Grin Skoda no, ale hnedka bych si to sel zkusit.
  • 3 0
@Smilicito: mohli by se ujmout Štvanice... Smile
  • 2 0
Oooh. One of them is pretty close. Considering participating just for fun. (and to give everyone else a good laugh). Probably just going to watch... lol
  • 2 0
Too bad America can't wake up to this great idea Frown
LosAngeles...take NOTE!
Every city should have these. But I gues five hundred baseball fields are ok!!
  • 1 0
L.A. would never approve the land use for a pump track. Heaven knows we could really use one, or 5 for that matter. Orange County oth, has land that could be used.
  • 3 0
Too bad the Brooklyn pumptrack isn’t a location.
  • 2 0
Thats a proper world tour. If only the UCI World Cup Calendar looked like that every year
  • 1 0
Sweet, kinda weird to make the qualies of Chile in Puerto Varas (not Puerto Varras) I imagine a lot of bmxers will be interested in this
  • 1 0
Hopefully this announcement will help bolster local pumptrack/bikepark development. Right now, a lot of small towns are trying to make their case. This should help!
  • 2 0
:35 sec teaser...... Barely had a chug of my beer and it was over
  • 2 0
 That's what she said..........

Does this mean Brendog will compete too? Also how come here are some dates seemingly double booked?
  • 3 1
Full Face, pads, and goggles in the pump track?
  • 4 2
Because asphalt hurts! When you're really hauling ass and mess up it can get ugly real easy Frown
  • 1 0
My daughter wants one on her birthday 3/16! Can you work that out Red Bull?
  • 1 0
Yes a GREAT IDEA, NO UCI, Red bull taking over, Will they be differnt age class? may have a chance in over fifty?
  • 2 0
 Hans & Frans approved!
  • 1 0
Seeing that there are overlapping dates I would bet there will be no internet coverage of these races.
  • 1 0
 OKC!! Home"state" race, yeah buddy!!
  • 1 0
Red Bull never missed a thing Big Grin but this is cool man
  • 2 1
But but....Where is Czech republic ???
  • 33 1
 In Europe
  • 9 0
Europe; Which has 13 of the rounds including the world champs. You can get to both Austrian rounds in a reasonable drive from the Czech Republic. You're gonna be ok.
They have killed it with all the cool new locations like India and Lesotho and Japan. Glad they did that instead of just adding another round in the Czech.

 So excited.
