Being Whistler, they should probably have an additional podium and award for Whistler Crankworx Party King/Queen — a one-second reduction for each beer drunk, and a one-second reduction for each hour partying after midnight, the nights before qualies and finals. Each police citation, 5-second reduction. Impromptu striptease for a drunken bachelorette party in Whistler Village, also a 5-second reduction. Can you tell I’m a Whistler veteran yet? Pro tip: if you’re the type who likes to get good sleep during Crankworx, bring earplugs.

We stood by one of the huge drops to watch the seeding runs and she was the only woman who hit it. She was flying! She looked to be riding better than some of the men.

We are starting to see the true Vali Holl. Like watching Verstappen emerge a few years ago.

Worth noting that Dane Jewett's (U19) time would slot him into 3rd for Elite men, just behind his brother.
  • 2 2
Dane would have been first overall but Juniors have to do the go around on the two big drops I understand.

@dhrracer: u17/u15 do but the u19 junior cat doesn’t do the ride arounds. Dane would be doing the full course

@bgoldstone: Got it, thanks for clarifying. I thought it would be ridiculous for U19 not hitting them.

@lwkwafi: he just won a World Cup so he’s likely fully recovered

@Barrywillox: he went back under the knife after he won the last WC. In the post race interviews he said he wouldn't be defending his Hardline title because he would be going for surgery.
  • 3 1
@Barrywillox: yep, I heard winning a world cup give you super healing abilities, appendix surgery recovery in around 7min - 23sec.
  • 1 1
Iles is so fast, he's first and still 1.499 up. Look at the time!
