In his upcoming film, Brandon Semenuk sets out to win his first American Rally Championship while also defending his Red Bull Rampage Title all within one high-stakes week.
I was lucky enough to get to watch Semenuk session the Joyride course at Crankworx this year, and seeing him ride in person really brought home how next level his style and fluidity are.
Other riders go bigger or are more technical, but he executes his tricks like an olympic gymnast.
How calm and controlled he rides is mind blowing. I still think he would lay a competitive top 5 worthy run if everyone got a run down. Even in today's field, few go bigger or more technical, and even fewer execute as well. His tuck manny whip off on the step up to drop was the coolest thing I saw from all of the slopestyle at Crankworx, and it only took him a few warm up run ins before he sent it cleanly. Can you imagine if he did that in a run? He always won by doing something different or gnarly, and I don't think that would change even now. I think he was doing at least on par runs in the 2014-2017 with some of the current upper midfield runs in 2023.
Some people never find their purpose in life while others excel in 2 completely different arenas... We don't all have to be like Semenuk but this definitely encourages me to go out there and really find what I'm called to do in this life....
One of my all-time favorite riders since watching his segment in NWD10. The level of style, creativity and precision he executes his tricks with was unmatched for the longest time. I figured it was only a matter of time before he branched out into other disciplines like Pastrami did.
John Surtees was the OG, Isle of Man TT winner and F1! You can’t even get pissed off with that as it’s an impossible feat now. Fair play to Brandon though in what he’s achieved………so far!
MTB's and racecars. Yes please! I don't think we've yet to see a movie that encompasses two sports that so many of us enjoy. This is potentially the best of both worlds in one video. Very stoked to see this one.
That was my first thought, too, but I actually don't think it will matter that he got 3rd in 2022 and 1st in 2021. Hopefully we'll see footage from both. But the film isn't about finally winning Rampage after trying for years and years... like I feel like I watched one of these about him finally winning Joyride ~10 years ago. Different central idea here w/balancing, later stage of career, and it has the potential to explore different themes. Still stoked.

Semenuk won Rampage in 2008, 2016, 2019 & 2021.
Rally is sick too!!
