@53119: No - she said she did that pretty well 20secs before the one that got her (jumping twice as far as the closest woman). She said the one that got her was a very flat landing and a shitty jump.

That's what mud tires and cut down versions are used for. But the dirt underneath is probably too hard, which is why everyone is sticking with dry tires.

Yes, I do. DH, XC, Enduro, whatever bike floats your boat. They'd all bottom out on what is essentially a huck to flat.

You just described the best part of 90s World Cup racing and trust me, some of us are ready for some 90s racing. This one's for the old school! This is from the era when we raced DH courses and not "tracks", no one talked about "doing laps", and riders weren't wearing F1 pit crew suits and clown costumes to race bikes down mountains.

Let's see these park rats keep it at Mach 5 on the off camber turns. But it's an "easy" course, right?

Can't scrub your way down this track, kids!

Not sure why you're getting a hard time about this comment. It looks like they taped up a ski slope and added a few badly designed jumps for everyone's amusement. I suspect there are going to be some bad injuries this weekend.

Yeah that’s exactly what they’ve done. It’s a poor course but I think it’s going to be a really good race mainly due to how committed they’ve got to be to do well.

@laxguy: Yeah but it;s a typical French bike park. They build a trail, do no maintenance. Close trail when it gets too f*cked. Build new trail, do no maintenance. Rinse/repeat.
