Practice Photo Report: Diamond in the Rough - EWS Whistler 2018
Anyone know why YT don't go in on an enduro team? Capra is a beast and they've done pretty well in their first foray into DH.

@kusanagi72: could be a good shout, bikes are pretty damn good, the funding is there but is the attitude slightly misplaced? Guess we'll never know unless one of their athletes writes about it further down the line. I'd like to see them put their faith in an up and coming racer too, plenty of racers on privateer or support only deals that they could make an offer to for next season.

The Essential Guide to the Leogang DH World Cup 2018
@bman33: Deffo mate, sadly it just means the WC track scene is a bit stale - like we don't have other awesome places to hold DH world cups - Colorado and other places in the states, other Canadian venues (Whistler anyone?!), New Zealand, Russia, the whole of South America, Asia and Africa. Let's grow the sport, expose new audiences to it and give the riders something new to tackle. For that to happen though probably means leaving the UCI as they couldn't give a toss about gravity riding.

The Essential Guide to the Leogang DH World Cup 2018
A few are but this gets some criticism because it is armoured trail for most of the run with lots of berms and bike park type features. There is not a lot of natural stuff in it. Also they moved the Austrian race from Schladming which was a really raw track, and a rider and viewer favourite, to this venue. It certainly doesn't test the best in terms of technique but because it's so fast it's still a high consequence track and has provided some really memorable races over the years. I'll still be tuning in!

What a men's podium that is - all under 25, all with slightly different styles and have all won races. These fellas (plus Jesse) could dominate EWS for years - but the exciting thing is that there are a lot of others who are all right there: Hill (obvs), Oton, Galy, Nicolai, Mark Scott rising fast along with a host of others like Deniaud and Tordo. Crazy to see studs like Jared and Keene dropping down the rankings as these hungry crew rise up. Awesome. Also how the hell does Dailly float over some of those sections like that?! Witchcraft?
