Opinion: You Should Be Fixing Your Own Bike
Robert M. Persig wrote a book several years ago about this titled, “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.” The book describes two kinds of people, those who are more interested in how things work, and those who care more about it just working. The former folks are already fixing their own bikes, and the latter keep the bike shops open.

@GravityIsGod: Saw the same thing go down in the BMX world during the 2000’s. ESPN and the Gravity Games scored higher on flips, spins, and whips, rather than style or how big. I think we’re seeing a delayed version of the same thing now in the slopestyle runs. Although it is nice to see those tricks on a bigger bike, and on MUCH bigger features, I still long for a big, floaty, stretched-out one-handed table-360.
