Being a FF is such a great job for the balance of salary and lifestyle. Sure doesn't come without its downside tho. Over the years the bad calls just add up. It's great to live in a world where more and more people are comfortable enough to share their stories. Its sad to see a job rob people of their ability to feel anything.
Keep fighting that good fight, it can and will get better.
Lots of Firefighter mountain bikers in Kamloops that would be willing to share their story or support your cause.
