@Murder-One: I highly doubt it's the fluid. It's probably the combination of the redesigned lever (and maybe "new" internals) and the new 4 pot caliper design that SLX up to XTR share.
there wasn't really much noise about the old XT/Saint 4 pistons with regards to the wandering bite point and the new 2 piston SLX/XT/XTR don't really suffer from it that much (they still do but not as bad as the 4 piston caliper ones)
Currently on the M7100 SLX 4 piston and its bad once the brakes get up to temp. I might try out swapping the hoses to BH59 (the old one) and see if that'll help with it. If worse comes to worse I'll just jump on the TRP train with everyone

I personally hate working with internally cable routed hoses that go out the side of the down tube. You have to mangle them around to get them out the hole and having the tool with the magnet certainly does help (I don't own one atm).
I can't really see any downside for the headset routed cables tbh. I usually route my cables from the back to the front. This means the only hole I'd prolly have to worry around is where I push the hose in. With headset routed cables I don't have to worry around finessing the cables thru the sides of the downtube anymore, instead I just wait for them to pop up in the headtube and pull them out.

same boat with you on cube. low end looks great, but as it goes up the ladder they don't look that appealing like Spez, trek, and other big brands that when you go up the product hierarchy the look and feel goes up too.
but that's just me. I'm pretty happy that we're getting more brands known today. I just hope merida chimes in the Enduro/DH disciplines then we're talking

Here I frequently see hardtails rocking a 180mm zoom fork that just doesn't work. They ride the trails like grannies and have a hard time climbing. But each to their own as I always say :/

I'm guessing its because he likes to ride off the saddle most of the time, which might be rearward, and results in a much more horizontal placement of his wrist.
