Brendan Fairclough Releases Statement After Finals Run at Red Bull Rampage 2024
Red Bull wants the judging to go a certain way. Those Rampage clips are running over and over at our local McDos. Rampage in consequence is NOT a contest in empty space. It is a venue that aims at generating a product that in turn makes money. Having footage of huge flips in such an unreal scenery works best for joe average's stoke factor.
The judges are part of the Red Bull machine, I believe their margin of freedom to judge is not that big. Do you think they come for free?
And yes, in the eyes of many rides, myself included, Brendog did get robbed!

Canyon Gap Removed from 2024 Red Bull Hardline
Redbull simply does not give a fuck about the rider's health. But, in a world where sponsorship is scarce and no one wants to leave burned bridges, most pros need to follow along. You never know what door you need to knock on next year for having your bills paid.

Pinarello Releases New Dogma XC Hardtail
When a pure MTB company makes a gravel bike, it might not work out that well. But, here we have a 100% road focussed company and well, what does that look like?

Opinion: Why Weight Doesn't Matter
Just get that Alloy frame from Transition or better from Santa Cruz, those will take good care of adding more than a little weight.

Meet The All New Transition Smuggler
The old Smuggler, especially the 2nd version was a groundbreaking bike to me. It had tons of quirks: Alloy was heavy af, suspension super linear, small tire clearance, dent in the seat tube limiting dropper posts... but it rode superb and believe it or not: you could get the frame for almost cheap. To me, that made it the rider's bike par excellence.
New Transition rivals Yeti and others in pricing. I think they could drop their funky marketing as being the grass roots company with the NX Alloy coming in at 5000. That is a lot of money and almost double of a Spectral 125 which is better equipped. Sad to see in a way.

Opinion: The Rules of Mountain Biking
Ebikess = Trail Viagra!
There should be more love on the trails, less performance. Just doing something longer/faster doesn't make it better.

Staff Ride: Brian's '10 Year' RAAW Madonna V2 Project Bike
Cool project. 10 years is like many lifetimes in the world of actions sports.
Just @brianpark: didn't you just do an E-bike commercial? To me, E-bikes are the epitome of disposability.
