Video: A Closer Look at Version 4 of Neko Mulally's Race Bike - In Depth Ep. 4
Cool project, I admire him for taking it on. Reminds me of how nortshore and DH bikes and frames were probably made in the early 2000s. Trail and error/ER visits versus FEA and CAD.

First Impressions: Riding Northstar, California with Geoff Gulevich, Damon Iwanaga & Cam Zink
Man, I wonder how much Vail paid these guys or at least Gulevich for the embellished content. "Good berms, good rocks, it's always loose". The last statement is mostly true

The New iPhone 14 Has Emergency SOS via Satellite
Considering the Face ID doesn't work with goggles or a helmet (opps who would have thought iPhone users like to get rad) I wonder if this thing will be calling the meat wagon every time your take a digger on your bike or drop a cliff on skis? I can see it now, "because of mountain bikers and skiers, apple no longer calls help for Karens trapped in during vehicles!"

Muc-Off's Clever New Product Allows You to Hide an Apple AirTag in Your Wheel
Every Bike shop I ever worked at was typically a bunch of single dudes, some were a little too single if you know what I mean? Ladies if the same bike shop guy that fixed your flat keeps "running into you" on the trail, check your valves...

The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly: 10 Editors' Clipless Pedal Setups
I like my Mallet DH with the easy release cleats. I've ridden various SPD platforms and tried HTs. Having a platform pedal with the retention and positioning of a cleat it pretty ideal. Biggest advantage for me with clipless is by far keeping my feet in the position I want them in. Flats are definitely safer but with sticky shoes getting your feet where you want them can be a bear.

Review: 2022 Orbea Rallon M-LTD
Love my 2019 Rallon with Rally on link. Looks like they fixed some of its short comings (cable routing, bearing life, on board storage). Part of the reason I went with the Rallon is that for $7800 I got the build kit I wanted plus the geometry wasn't too long or too low. A specialized stump jumper with similar build require a bump up the s-works. The previous Rallon was fast but also super playful when set up right.

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Care About the Carbon Footprint of Your Bike?
Manufactures should be offering "buy back"/Recycling programs. Fox took some of my old shox from 2006 at their Reno facility. They said they would scrap the metal. Dealers should accept old frames and components for recycling to manufactures in my opinion. Especially the aluminum frames and components. Old carbon frames can be crushed and incinerated. Bikes and landfills don't work well together... With the rate bikes are be coming obsolete, it would be a honorable thing for manufacturers to do.
