That Ogle would probably cost over 20 grand or more if he actually makes them. I'm a fan of his products but nothing is cheap.

This. I climbed the ropes at Half Dome about 10 years ago and there was another hiker blasting music from a speaker strapped to his a$$. What is still stuck in my head is "Sorry Ms. Jackson" over a decade later. At least it was memorable.

@twonsarelli: I thought for sure the hydro hose cutter and installer tool all in one would be on this list. Makes the process as easy as it gets. Using this with a hammer can still damage the barb so not ideal either even if it is clever.

Opinion: The Rockrider Team Could Change World Cup Racing

To me the Volvo-Cannondale team was one of the greatest marketing mashups in history. It made me want a Volvo XC 70 something fierce and still helps to drive the Volvo image to this day. I think they dropped the ball by ending this partnership. The same applies to Sunn-Nike which was also highly successful in my opinion. MTB has been ready for big time sponsors for a long time. I think the analytics gets it wrong if companies do not see this.

Buying a Bike From a Shop Versus Buying Online

I would gladly buy from a local shop but unfortunately there is no decent selection around here in Northern Virginia. It's either Trek or Specialized in store only with a smattering of Cannondale mostly for road bikes. Trek in particularly bought up a lot of the local shops so unless you like Bontrager socks and shoes don't bother.

Dave Weagle Patents High-Pivot Drivetrain System

Cannondale's Fulcrum DH bike had the extra chain on BOTH sides back in 98. I guess it was natural for someone to patent just the right side if the left was also already taken.

Poll: Who is the Greatest Downhill Racer of All Time?

Agree. Nico is still the smoothest downhill rider that I have ever seen. His style definitely could have kept him on the podium for years to come if he did not switch to rally driving. Not the longest career but still the best male rider.
