Jeez, all you need is a flat grinding stone, (I use a chisel sharpening stone), and some water! Pour water on stone, rub pad on wet stone a few times, clean in fresh water - done. I bed all new pads in this way and they are ready to go first run on the dh bike.

Hi mate, Picked up that you mulleted your dh bike, I did the same on my Myst and realised the clearance was too close for comfort. Have you tried the 49 lowers yet, do they simply bolt onto the Fox 40 sliders? Thanks, Steve

Bike Check: Gee Atherton's Prototype 9.0 Mullet Bike Used & Abused

I run Schwalbe Pro-core and run 16.5psi front and 18.5psi rear and the grip (traction) is phenomenal! You do get the 'squirmy' feeling when you first start using it, but you get used to it and then forget about it all together because you're railing the off camber loose/gloopy stuff without problem. Had twin punctures once, but the inner tyre system still allowed me to complete DH run and get 3rd on podium.
