She looks quick, but I wouldn't say 'up to speed'.
I'm really rooting for her to get out there and do her best.
Remember Tracy, just have fun out there, that's how you'll keep your composure in the run that matters!
Best of luck, we're all behind you!!!
Hahaha, absolutely amazing. They're probably not used to this kind of attention. Don't worry though because once they realize that these many people are reading up about their races, they'll start caring about what they're wearing to the podium.
I feel bad that there aren't more wmn in mtn biking for your guys' sakes. I think many mtn biker relationships work really well because you're stoked on the same things and you can spend time together on a whole different level than "nah, i can't go riding, gotta spend time with the wife this weekend...." situation.
also LOL at the comments (especially the sandwich one). truly. i make the lunches when we go to the hill to ride..... HAHAHA
Plenty of comments on her good looks, but it looks like she can justify her new sponsor by flying on that pink bike. She was mobbin' down those wet rocky trails!
More than half the population of British Columbia is women, its a big market for bike shops and races if you can figure out a way to
show them riding is a blast. Maybe its time to have two downhill courses at the races, one for the rippers and one thats not so intimidating. I know that at Sun Peaks in the middle of the week in the summer its really, really quiet, they could use some more riders.
Shyte... just look how strong she is, not being thrown around at all with that heavy bike on rough stuff - damn I wish I had such composure, while I just fly around fighting for life.
Respect and all the best Tracey!
I still don't get why she's on an Izimu and not a Makulu. Its a sick bike nonetheless, but the Makulu is generally considered the higher end DH race bike.
I dont know why. But When I was looking getting a new frame I noticed that the leverage ratio on the Makulu was very funky for me seeing that I'm only a light weight. Maybe its the same for her?
Tracey is on the Izimu right now because the build is 1kg lighter than a Makulu and she is on the smaller side. She will be on the Izimu for round 1 in South Africa and then later this year she will try out a Small Makulu.
Sure - but the point is, is the entire build the same, just the frames differ? How can it the be 1KG lighter, when the frames only differ by 200grams - or does she have a super small version, that's not comparable to the Makulu Size S ?
It's very challenging seeing a Fine lady riding a bike and the worst thing is that she rides Well than you. I have not met a female MTB rider as good as her, keep it up Tracey...
Nice interview Fabien.... but what camera are you using? The audio sucked... and the editing was.... yeah, let's just say Pinkbike has been spoiling us all lately.
I thought she would be.....taller. She's got pipes bro. And she can rip. That goes a long way for most of us. but to your question, I don't think the photos do her justice.
We stayed up 'til 2am prepping your bike last week, we got you a bike at cost price, threw in free tires and goggles, and paid your entry fee.
Sure we are very happy that you made the podium, but next time could you wear our jersey and stick our goggles 'round your neck?
Signed,
Your sponsors.
I'm just saying, but if they did, then agreed
Every single male on pinkbike just dropped their head in sorrow
